Ask about hardship funds but read this first

    http://www.theguardian.com/politics/datablog/2014/apr/20/the-crisis-in-local-welfare-assistance-explained

And check your local Council web-site and find out when and where your local councillor next has a surgery. Make an appointment and tell them that you were not told about hardship funds and ask for help getting them.

Have a look at dried milk in the supermarket when you get your money come through. I know Sainsburys basics is a good one, and it works out much cheaper than fresh milk. It tastes slightly different to fresh, but it's not horrendous and will def save a few pennies.
Also, if you have a Lidl, their basic loaf is around 50p ish and it's perfectly good bread. It's the nicest cheapy one I have found and the slices are quite thick so the sandwich isn't too floppy :)

Hey glad you've had a bit of good news.
Keep at them for your payments, it will get sorted eventually. They're quick to take money off you but not so quick to hand it out.

How are you doing though? And your little man?

I have no idea at all about the vouchers, so they are possibly available.
Maybe someone out there in Internet land would know?
