Vladikavkaz - what a fantastic name CK, lovely photo.
Gen, glad to hear that the bicarb mix is helping - not long now and you'll be back to 'normal'.
Aaaah, Isaac's a cutie:o.
I did once ponder about having my dogs professionally painted on my pet truck once and then decided it was too naff. Many years ago, we had a BBC trailer in our warehouse that was being painted before heading out to the States. I watched the guy work and it really was an artform in itself. Nowadays, most things are wrapped and it takes away some of the mystique.
Sorry I haven't been about much - been away for work and I was 50 last Wednesday, so I have been out a fair bit - OK a lot. Work is busy and one of my customers is actually paying me to act as a consultant on one of the more technical aspects of our work ( I know I say haulage, but it's a tad more complicated but I can't say on a public forum).
Is LJ in domesticated bliss?
Has PN moved yet?0 -

So pleased I neither watched nor recorded that!
Me too!Vladikavkaz - what a fantastic name CK, lovely photo.
It's Russia. We got to the checkpoint just as they were opening the gate, never had it so easy to cross there!
The photo is of the Caucasus Mountains, taken from just off Mtshetka (route 1)
We're currently in a small town called Tixoretsk for lunch, then I need some petrol (averaged 18.2mpg so far today!!!) and we'll finish the journey.
The idea is to get back to Georgian border before it closes tonight (10pm, but a Georgian 10pm, so probably about 9), and we've got 170km to go on the outward leg, then about 750 back. OH's relative is moving back to Georgia and has to have the apartment vacant by midnight, and having bought the E55 estate (which I currently regret), I've got 2 armchairs to get into the car, then a trailer on the back.💙💛 💔0 -
Congratulations PN. :T
I don't envy any of that CK!0 -
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday bugslet!
my first thought was that puts us in the same school year. Weird that at 50 that still sticks in your mind, even though we are way past studying.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It hit its head having got trapped in the kitchen. Its alive and taking a nap, looking better all the time, its breathing is back to normal and its looking around.
Ooh, just flew off.0 -
He could have proposed a toast to you. Bottoms up!
The offer was kind and well meant. The problem is me.
I am still trying to convince myself that it is like looking down a throat to them. I will be fine, a little too faux blase, or jokey or other humanish reaction to cringing embarrassment.
I find a business-like manner is the best way to deal with popping the old chap out for medical reasons. I treat it like it's my finger or eyeball: something important and sensitive but just another part of the body ultimately.
I can't believe that anyone past year 2 in med school finds body parts in a professional setting either funny or titillating (unless they are genuinely funny like a birth mark shaped like a willy or something, Doctors aren't not made of stone).
Simply ask for and obey instruction and treat it like you have a dodgy toenail. That's my advice. If you can't get past the individual that's looking at this then perhaps you need a different individual to look at it. If it's just anyone looking at it then you need to get someone who is less blase about their body to give you advice!0 -

There's a big difference.... men are used to getting it out in public toilets. When drunk many will be popping it out and waggling it around "for a laugh". Men love to pop it out and flash it off/show it off. It is just another part of your body - one you're proud of and want to wave around.
It's different with lady gardens.
If it were her butt cheek she'd have just said to him "OK, great".0 -
Lovely pic lir - glad to see you are posting again and sounding chirpy ( sorry couldn't help myself).
I take Gen's approach, they've seen it all before, though if it's gynae, I do prefer a lady doc.0
