I treated myself to a bottle of fizzy wine (from a nearby supermarket) in my hotel room the night exchange happened :)

I'll not even bother stretching to a bag of chips.

    I hate it. ( Cinnamon)

And hate turemeric (sp? On phone)

    But I don't mind nutmeg...

Think it comes from growing up in an unspiced family where I didn't have a curry until I was 14...

Depends what you'll be doing .... there's gardening and fitting new locks and fixing replacement gate bolts and a new key mechanism .... although once I get the keys I'll probably decide/discover that previous owner was a bit of a mucky mare and it really needs steam cleaning top to bottom and a splash of paint.

Then there's fitting curtains/lightbulbs ..... and collecting pie/chips from the chippy.

Or bring a boat and all work can be forgotten and we can just hang out in a yacht at the quay.

Cancer Survivor Lounges on Beach With an Ice-Cream after Cycling From Sydney to Brisbane has a nice ring to it :)

Brisbane is on a river inland so gen will have to plan his route more carefully if he wants an ice cream on the beach at the end of it. He could, I suppose, have a cold rock at the artificial beach in the middle of the city, but when I tried that there was no water in the "sea" due to water restrictions and I got mobbed by a load of scrutty looking ibises....

Nutmeg is delicious. Its good with spinach too. You could try cinnamon again quite inexpensively by buying something at the bakery at a super market or something. Cheaper than experimenting. And yes, you get sticks in some curries.

We use lots of cinnamon, and buy it in big bags ( because that's cheaper than those piddle bottles if you know you'll use it) . I might put a pinch in a coffee or apple tea for example. A sprinkling on some lamb ( with other spices) or on porridge or on some baked apple. I use it with lots of sweet and savoury food really. Some people cannot stand it.

I like nutmeg in scrambled eggs and omelettes. OH hates nutmeg and dislikes scrambled eggs and I am usually too lazy to make it myself so I don't get it often!

I'm happy to change lock cylinders and so on. I can paint. But leave me out of queuing up at the chippy. I hate queues. As a rule, I'll drive twenty minutes to avoid a ten minute traffic jam. I don't have a yacht, but more than happy to party on Michael's.

I can also put up curtain rails, by the way. I have my own hammer drills, but not sds.
