I'm unavailable the first weekend of July
Well you're in luck, I'm talking about the second one :)

I'm offering because you are my friend and I'd like to help. I've also had recent experience of moving into somewhere on my own and it made a big difference having a few people pop over.

Edit: I happily sleep on sofas, floors etc. I also have an inflatable mattress (came with a tent, but I've only ever used it when I couldn't bear sleeping in the same bed as my ex) and a roll mat. And I'm short so I can curl up in small spaces :)

    Awww.
Yeah, I'm a small space person.

How'd you get here? There are two train stations. One's 2 miles and one's 2.5 miles. It's one of those situations where the furthest station's usually easiest for pickups as it's more of a "local stop" one, ... whereas the main small town one's a big disembarkation point and the car park's awash with taxis.

One of my "high priority" house essentials had always been a driveway, with enough parking for me plus at least one .... and what I've got is one parking space..... while there is parking available close by (free) it's not straight forward ... e.g. it's all right evenings/overnight), but regular day hours it's a question of parking up to 200 yards away and/or using a supermarket "2 hour parking allowed" option.

I can't switch electric suppliers, that's one of the bills included here.

Depends. Could get the train/ coach (if there is one, both prob via London) or could drive. If I get the train I can bring tools but only what will fit in a large (very large) backpack. If I drive I can bring whatever will fit in a Mini.

I very much doubt I'll get any other offers for that weekend, so please take a few days to think about whether you're happy to have a guest and let me know - preferably by pm or email (you should have my email address).

Can't stress enough that I wouldn't be in the least offended if you don't want your space invaded. Equally, I wouldn't offer if I didn't mean it.

If it's a mini, by a quirk, there's parking .... it can't be explained online, but that'd fit OK/be fine. My car's 15' long so too big for Option2. Location is OK/safe/legal.... no such thing as a ticket.

I think most of the "jobs" would simply be "hanging out and not making much of an impact" to be honest. I'd still be at the stage of walking round and staring wondering what to do....

But that could include stuff like quaysides and chips to break the day up.

Well, let me know when I'm invited to nosey round and I'll find out what you need help with at the time :)

All I need is space for my sleeping bag. I can bring my computer and we can sit on MSE in separate rooms in the evening

No protocols or ettiquette required. I'm just about human...

Meet-ups to sleep-overs in one swoop.

You haven't seen the state of my parking :) (It's generally ok, don't worry)

I'm an expert in walking round wondering what to do. I've had plenty of practice here.

I'm also good at eating chips. And it's ages since I've been to the coast :)

Smooth, eh?! PN is obviously more susceptible to my charms than lemonjelly :rotfl:

It's a fair distance from here to there. If I'm spending the day being put to work I'd rather not drive back at night tired.

Actually - just looked, and google is telling me it's under 3 hours each way (to that general area). That's a bit less than I thought (I guessed over 3 hours) - so do-able as a day trip.
