I loathe oysters. Only tried once in steak and oyster pie..never wanted to try again.

Cooked oysters? I'm not surprised you were put off.

Raw with vinegar/lemon juice is the way forward imho.

I appear to have mislaid the lever that actually closes my mouth:(. I wittered on in DT on the Free Weight Watchers Classes thread. It absolutely drives me nuts that I can control the rest of my life, but not weight.. Too dull for the NP thread!

bugslet when you find your lever can see if mine is with it? They must go missing in pairs. Or maybe they are stolen to order?

You are not talking me into it.

You do not need to discuss it on here unless you want to, but if you did choose to, nobody would tell you off for being dull.

Went into work to try to do my annual review "paperwork" today - except this year it's not on paper, it's all electronic. I followed all the instructions for migrating my last year's objectives into the new system, but only 2 of the 4 of them appeared on the resulting e-document. Went across to see IT support, but the only one of them who understands the new review system isn't in today, so I'll have to go back tomorrow, because it's due in on Monday. At least since this week is half term I don't have to teach any lessons so should be able to find time tomorrow to get the wretched thing finished.

The good news is that I appear to have met 2 of my objectives ages ago, one is only partly relevant considering this year's timetable, and I've done all that I could under the circumstances, and the fourth isn't relevant at all, so I couldn't possibly have done it. This is quite a big "phew" because I really haven't thought about them since this time last year, or possibly September. I am clearly a bad employee.

Lesson observation happening on Tuesday. Not v happy about this. Would prefer to have been observed teaching a normal lesson rather than doing revision just before they all do exams. Never mind. Slightly nervous about being reviewed this year - I'd got used to my old HoD and knew he would be affirming and positive, but don't know how it will go with the new one. I mean, I like her, and she's generally a nice person and a good HoD, but I don't know what her approach to reviewing people is, which makes it all a bit unknown.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I would suggest they must go missing in threes. Mine is certainly AWOL.

At least if they were you'd feel assured you knew what you're eating....

... all that slimy looking stuff in/on/around oysters... god knows what it is!!

And, if you're just going to knock it back .... might as well do that with something cheap ..... at those prices I'd want to TASTE what I ate and savour it .... not knock it back in a trice!

    ...my objectives ...

1] Turn up, on time, each day
2] Try not to swear at the little bar stewards
3] Try not to get caught clipping the bar stewards round the ear
4] Try not to snort cocaine until at least mid morning break - and then only in the privacy of the ladies' loos.

    :)

    Which 2 did you manage?

The pilot is stable and not in any danger and is in a Hospital.

Lucky for him they had not taken off, as he had had a heart attack.

Mr Spirit now home. The dog is ecstatic, in a total meltdown of devotion. I opened the gate so duppy could go out to the taxi...never seen such an emotional reunion.

I think OH is pleased to see me as well.
