Probably - I don't know their names.... yes, very strong and awkward accent to follow.

It's hammered down here in the night.... I have a couple of tins in the garden and yesterday they were beside each other on top of a plastic box, this morning one's on the floor, so it must have been a heck of a downpour to dislodge that!

I like Steph. She seems pretty no-nonsense (think she has a background in engineering).

    Yep.

I have an underlying Irish temper, but have self control (most of the time). I don't do passive aggressive, I can do full on cut to the quick, no holds barred, no prisoners taken. I did this today.

OH was sympathetic to the pilot and the inevitable overnight stay...less so with BA who then started talking about fitting the passengers on tomorrows flight, and the flights over the following few days:eek:

I get bored by overly polite in meetings, sometimes it does good all round to let rip. As with michaels, I don't usually lose my temper, once every 5 years or so - I settle for a steely tone, which seems to work with drivers and customers alike.
MRI and ct tomorrow. Alone or maybe non res p.? I'll see if is about maybe. but I am super cool now. Like ice. No joke. Either. Probably better going alone. Which sounds a bit pathetic, but its how it is.

    I am so cool I could......freeze vodka.

GP called and was useless. I told him what had happened and he said

    The following phrases.

    ' that shouldn't have happened'

'I don't know why that happened'

'Hmmm, well I don't know what to make of that'

I said I felt ok this afternoon but I have been wrenching and had stomach pains earlier ( relevant) but was havig imaging tomorrow which will include those bits)

He said 'oh, well, if its passed off its probably something and nothing'

I asked him about some of my results and he just said he didn't know what they could mean. Oh well. :)

You are sounding very calm! I don't think GPs always know all the finer points, though I think he could have pretended a bit more and sounded more reassuring.

Yes. Bushwacked, as I've moved a number of things over the course of this afternoon, having managed to give the place a good clean.

Don't talk about rain - I'm haunting the Jersey weather forecast for next week. All week the Jersey airport webcam has shown distinctleaden skies:(

well, exactly. :D. I wanted to talk briefly about some of the biochem changes. I know what that could mean, and I know he knows that could mean some things that have been under question. He just didn't want to be put on the spot, which is fair enough too. I wanted to know more about where my lack of knowledge starts though, and I think its a shame he couldn't help there. I feel best when well prepared. He also got something wrong but I can live with that, its my old area of expertise ( not in people) and it is confusing.

Its horrid. Also depressingly, while we have ok grass in the garden, I'm worried about grass in the filled. I both want a decent crop g which looks unlikely )& but cannot find any one to cut it for me in any case.

... the non stop rain :) I've a huge grey cloud over my house again; it's been wet (mostly overnight) forever it seems.... and I just stepped outside and it's been raining again, since an hour ago when I last went out there.

LJ, grills for ponds are very safe. Not sureI know who'd sell them apart from maybe Homebase/B&Q? More likely a garden centre?

    PN, what UKMaggie45 said!

Nikkster, your "what if" house isn't selling itself to me from your description! You chose wisely.

Michaels, same about Irish genes and temper.

Singlesue, my old summer job fitting rivets inside ventilation ducts makes me doubt I'd be claustrophobic at being in a scanner.

Spirit, sorry to hear about OH and pilot. Just be glad it was an airline that had copilots! One airline was talking about giving them up.
