LiR I may have lost track.
You have an MRI tomorrow? At P Hospital? Who is going with you?
Your GP discussion that was needed Tues has still not happened?
MRI and ct tomorrow. Alone or maybe non res p.? I'll see if is about maybe. but I am super cool now. Like ice. No joke. Either. Probably better going alone. Which sounds a bit pathetic, but its how it is.
I am so cool I could......freeze vodka.
GP called and was useless. I told him what had happened and he said
The following phrases.
' that shouldn't have happened'
'I don't know why that happened'
'Hmmm, well I don't know what to make of that'
I said I felt ok this afternoon but I have been wrenching and had stomach pains earlier ( relevant) but was havig imaging tomorrow which will include those bits)
He said 'oh, well, if its passed off its probably something and nothing'
I asked him about some of my results and he just said he didn't know what they could mean. Oh well.

Oh lir. I'm sure that's not what the duty doc on Sat wanted from your GP.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I have no temper at all so I think the hair colour gene bit may be a red herring...
Spirit I hope you are ok and dh makes it home tomorrow, I suspect he is a good customer of BA so should be ok, 10 years ago I would have had the connections that might have helped but they are all retired or moved on by now.
Congrats LJ. Last house we bought we were very coll about it, didn't pick up keys from agents to the end of the day and then eventually wandered round later in the evening to close the blinds and leave a light on.I think....0 -
Cheers lemonjelly
To you and your new homeowner status :beer:0 -
Oh lir. I'm sure that's not what the duty doc on Sat wanted from your GP.
On the other hand though, the hospital medics are the specialists, a GP is much less likely to be so. Completely agreed that they should have called when they were supposed to (yesterday), but wouldn't have expected any great insight (apologies to any lurking GPs)...0 -

You should write him a letter saying how his response did not match with your expectations given the directions you had had from the Duty Doc. I would be confused by the two differing opinions, and ask the GP to clarify. You need this so you understand and your GP needs to know about the mixed messages and what part he plays in ensuring you are well informed and confident that your primary care Drs can advise you.
edit: I won't offer tips on letter writing as I am still in a slightly "rip heads off ,state of mind"0 -

I have seen at least two duty doctors I think seem great, One a couple of years ago was fab but was in practise MIlES away, otherwise we'd haves registered with him.
Maybe duty doctors are intrigued to get people with 'meaty ' symotoms sometimes? I know when I have had boring things like when I needed a jab to stop vomiting, they were particularly bored and I wondered if they'd been doing that all over Christmas season.

I did contemplate that. However today I've found out the pond is pretty damned deep!lostinrates wrote: »Cannot you reinstate the pond then? Give fish a big home and some chums?
I think taking fizz later is really wise
.
I hope you are all happy there! ( I thought house was just for you :rotfl:)
There will be little people visiting (eg nephews), so long term it isn't going to stay. Short term I'm considering draining it to be honest - better safe than sorry.
Fizz will come when all is settled there.
Perhaps, in time I'll post pics of the 3 either here or somewhere else.:)PasturesNew wrote: »Not heard of pets before ....

Yes. Bushwacked, as I've moved a number of things over the course of this afternoon, having managed to give the place a good clean.Congratulations LJ.
Will you sleep over there from tomorrow night?
When we have moved/helped others move there is something very comforting about getting the beds made up.
Pearls new tank is set up on its table.
Vinyl boxes are up there.
Clothes in suitcases moved up, but not unpacked.
Have taken a box of crockery/cutlery.
Load of coathangers.
Few other bits & bobs.
Van collection will be very early tomorrow. Take the big bits round. Build the bed 1st thing & make it. Then get back to moving as many things as possible.
Once all the big things that a van is needed for, then I'll try & get as many boxes as possible done.
handily, a mate with an estate is helping, so there will be a relay going on!:)
If the bed has been made, I can keep going til I give in, order pizza, collapse, eat pizza, & sleep.:D
Then start again friday....It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I feel exhausted just reading that list.
The adrenalin will keep you going. So exciting.0
