Lj, you can get grills for ponds to protect little people. They are great for wildlife, including things like bees, which as a veg grower might concern you...

How old was he when they changed?

Oh blimey, now you are asking! He was probably a toddler before they changed from blue, they went a steel grey first..I just remember it was so long we thought the blue was there to stay.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I know people who are prescribed valium before a scan.

I have a large friend who needed a scan, the radiologist tried to delicately say that it may be a tight squeeze whether she fitted into the scanner. Friend was completely relaxed, not worried about being held in a close confined place with not even enough room for the headphone wires to be attached.

I had myself convinced I would get stuck in the machine as I am not a size 12, when I told the nurse before the scan she thought it was absolutely hysterical and told me I would need to be a lot bigger for that to happen.

Despite that, I still almost went into a panic attack thinking I was stuck..until they magically slid me out with no problems at all to prove that there was plenty of room and I was in no way stuck.

It's still niggling away at me ..... it's creeping up the popularity charts ...

Please go look. If only for me/ us. Didn't have much of a chance to do more than skim todays posts (was lucky enough to be taken out for dinner and a couple of pints and even more excitingly some post-work chat), but you mentioned the garage and opportunities/ whether they were or were not worth spending money on... To me they would be a bonus (like my this bedroom, I was only after one spare room), I feel it gives me options. I'm not taking them at the moment but its still there if I want/ need. The same for a garage room. I think the only downer was the garden direction... But there seemed like a few positives. You're not committed to anything (even less so as things are going slowly...).

Go look so you can tell me what else is wrong with it ;)

ps feel free to send me a link
Pps I walked post my only 'what if' house tonight... Still empty with a sold sign outside. Sale fell through Easter 2013, came back on the market just before Christmas (I think). This time same price as mine but with a courtyard garden rather than my vast expanded weedland, on street parking, downstairs bathroom. Still wish I'd gone to look at it, but sure it wasn't meant to be (why is it still empty?), and that I got a lot more for my money (/ bit off more than I can chew) here.

Interesting. I'd also like to keep it, as it's full of tadpoles, & frogs love eating slugs.
Any links or similar to the things you're talking about LIR?

Then go look. What have you to lose?
Something is attracting you to it, so follow that instinct, just in case you love it!:)

Well, 12 hours after saying I'd do it, I've just finished cleaning Pearl & her old tank.
The new one is ready & set up, so she's in the bath overnight, with her rocks & bit of tree.
Old tank is outside with the rest of the stuff for the tip (that's this weekends plan then!)

Tomorrow will be a doddle, surely :rotfl:

If the bed has been made, I can keep going til I give in, order pizza, collapse, eat pizza, & sleep.:D
    Then start again friday....

Exciting! Hope you sleep well tomorrow night. Once I'd bought my house I became very impatient to move into it but had to wait a couple of weeks because I was having work done.

When I was a kid the people next door had a pond with a grid over it. We could safely stand on the grid, so it was perfectly safe. You might need some small gaps that are big enough for frogs etc to get through but not big enough for small humans.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I wish! Though I'd be wondering what went wrong if I was home in time for Newsnight! Taken out as in I didn't eat alone or pay (work). Nice evening, second time I've been out with 3 guys (not all same guys)... who I really get on with (wouldn't bet on reciprocation), but were all married (or 1 in a serious relationship).

    Excitement over :) Sorry.

Thinking about it, not sure if I'd let someone take me out in the early stages. Is definitely be offering to split and not just out of politeness. Guts I'd go with sleeve suggested pays (thigh could argue the other way that suggestion was the contribution). Would prob get it wrong whatever I did, have a tendency to be too self-sufficient (though I'd rather be in a partnership tbh).
