Result! You'll soon be a home owner, and judging by the photos, in a much better house than most Londoners can get.
As regards the stairwell discussed earlier, I;ve just remembered that one of the things that made our first house so TARDIS-y was that the stairs were so steep they took up hardly any room (but were a bit scary to use).:oThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
In a pathetic attempt at on upmanship, my mother was in hospital for four months before she gave birth to me and several weeks after. She says she got vry fed up of grapes!
NDG, you are very good and clever:D.
I'd have gone completely insane being in any hospital for a fraction of that length of time. Not sure I'd be sick of grapes, though.PasturesNew wrote: »Oooh, I've been awake most of the night (nearly went for a drive at 4am), looks like there's a new night-shift here, so I should check in overnight in future maybe
I'm only on the nightshift if the Nice Baby is awake. Otherwise I'll be asleep, definitely.
Nice Baby now has a name! He is Daniel Mark <Surname>. I feel as if the effort to get OH to agree to a decision has been far greater than almost anything else I've ever done....
Over the weekend, I was calling him Aethelbald, my mother called him Osama, and Dad called him Stanley, so I think we wore OH down.lostinrates wrote: »Red is beautiful. Quite my favourite anyway. 'Not stuck' but 'blessed' if he gets to keep it.
NDG, you are. vERY good girl, and SO clever! Look at your beautiful baby, what a good, clever girl!
( I'd be stroking your hair if you were near by too)
Goodness, what a relief . Its obviously a well conditioned response to animal babies:o.
'Nice baby'. So, no. Name yet? Has he got a nickname?
We'll have to see. He's got puddle-coloured eyes at the moment, so they could stay blue or turn brown, not clear yet. They did that last year too, didn't they? It can't be a mistake. Anybody who's anything to do with schools knows that while the autumn and spring half terms may vary, the summer half term is always the week with the bank holiday for every secondary school in England/Wales (because that's when the exam boards have half term) and therefore every state primary school too (because LEAs set them to be the same as the secondaries) and just about every private primary too (for the benefit of parents and teachers with kids at other schools).
Who is it at Isaac's school who makes the decision? Somebody with no connections to any other schools who fancies a cheaper deal on a week away?
They did. It must be deliberate, you are right, because the bank holiday week is so obvious for every other school. It's probably the headmistress, she rather paddles her own canoe. As we only have a child at that school, it doesn't really matter for us, but I can see why others are irritated....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Ah .... I guess I'm too used to wandering along sandy beaches in Crocs.... I forget most other people don't get mucky/sandy feet from a day's walking on beaches ..... the ideal, of course, is a well placed tub/bowl outside in the garden of course.... then head straight for the bathroom and perch on the edge of the bath. Here I use the sink.
I do my feet, then rinse out and prop up the Crocs to dry.....0 -
Daniel Mark... I like it!

Daniel Mark... I like it!

It does sound better than Aethelbald, Stanley or Osama or any combination such as Osama Bald-Stanley. He will thank you when he is older. :j
I have saved a nephew from an unfortunate name that the parents didn't even think was a problem but promptly abandoned.
As regards eye colour I noticed there was talk some time back about eye colour changing. So don't give him Xalatan! That might change it. (other medicines are available). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I have scoured the threads for offers or deals such as affordable self-control or half-price willpower, but so far, nothing.

Toilet roll holder is on its way, the one I chose is out of stock. I've never considered a hook nearby, only at the gym.
As for washing feet in the sink, perhaps this client could use their bath, but that's one to ask the client next time I'm addressing priorities. If my feet need washing, I make the assumption that the rest of me does as well?
The shower base has an edge and also a return in the glass so no water should go near that area anyway.
That's an en suite?!

Charged phone, mp3 player, camera. Now charging speakers.
Need to occupy the mind. My current reading material (Arthurian legends) might not quite do it...
You might not sleep too well tonight either
Hope today goes well. Looking forward to raising a G+ T in celebration tonight
Just thought. That could easily be misconstrued! I struggled to sleep the first night after getting my keys... Couldn't switch off.
And I'd be raising a G+T from chez Nikkster
