What about proximity to the venue?

Potential taxi costs could swing it.

Also sharing a twin room could be an option if you have a friend going to the hotel?

I've had a day like that, too. It's my first day back in the office, so I guess that could be considered 'normal'

My phone charger has decided to stop working (but leave until the phone has 4% battery left in it before doing so), and I have a rental car for the next 4 days (over 1500 miles to do on various things, and I refuse to do it in my own), so can't plug it into the armrest.

Then Apple claim it's not a warranty item......brilliant

Apple over here are complete pushovers. I must have had the headphones replaced for free 10 times over the life of my iphone (4+ years). I'd just go in and be really nice but a bit concerned that the headphones are so flimsy. They'd just give me a new pair to shut me up.

Both stumbling distance. No twin option - found a deal on the nicer hotel (it's quite a bit more elsewhere, then add on late check out), and no close friends going. Room in hall is a single bed so doesn't help make it a fair comparison really...
I'll work out what I'm going to do in the next couple of days, get it booked, then it's done.

For taxi costs, try to speak to an independent driver, to get an 'off the meter' price. The words 'I'd usually call (insert company name here), but wanted to shop the market' will usually get a lower price.

If they think that they're going to get long-term customer from it, it's worth going cheap if the driver doesn't have a radio.

It's no worse than the Macbook chargers, as I'm on no.3 now in about 6 years.

It's currently charging, but the charger itself has a coffee jar on it to keep the charge flowing through.

Mm it's a tricky one. For me now (I'm pretty much penniless) I'd go with the cheaper one as it is just somewhere to crash, and you'll likely wake up feeling pretty ropey anyway.

But then not having to wake up in a single bed and be up, fed (no chance) and out for 10am might come in handy... Just unsure whether it's worth THAT much.

Nikk, I've just PM'd Masomnia, and will send you same message in a moment.

Just looking at some videos from The Kids Germany. This one made me smile, just to see her face to the audience reaction.

I especially like number 3, it's very much me. Even if I want something something else :D
