Thoroughly enjoyable.
You can't just carrot dangle like that Hamish... tell us more! Who, where, when, why?
Glad you had fun:)Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Yes yes. Tell us all.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Oh I can viva, and I just did!
Now see if you'd only gone and entered the Mongol rally with me you'd know by now....
Yes, you'd also know the approximate value of every Yurt for 100 miles each sid of the route, and all Rod Stewart and Proclaimers songs by heart, but that's a small price to pay surely?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Hamish you are such a tease!
I can't enter the Mongol Rally with you yet. I need to wait for a year where you can't go on and on about how Mercedes is better than Ferrari and be right:o:mad::eek:. That will save you from death by library book.
Strangely though I was thinking about the Mongol Rally this lunchtime and before I'd read this. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I was out for a couple of beers tonight as it goes. I met an old mate down by Circular Quay. Great company and cold beer. It doesn't get much better.0

I resemble that remark:)I can't enter the Mongol Rally with you yet. I need to wait for a year where you can't go on and on about how Mercedes is better than Ferrari and be right:o:mad::eek:. That will save you from death by library book.
There will never be a year when I'm not right about Mercedes and Ferrari. You'll just have to restrain yourself.
Although given the budget for the Mongol, if you have a library book that explains how to get an Italian car to drive More than 5 miles without breaking down I suggest you bring it along.... :whistle:Strangely though I was thinking about the Mongol Rally this lunchtime and before I'd read this.
Aye.... You can't fight destiny....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Haven't had (or now got) time to read anything, but hope LIR told you that Aethelbald (name firming up, but not definite, yet) arrived at 5.43am on Monday morning. We got home yesterday, but I haven't touched my computer until now, and my mother's just arriving so I'll be quick now and post a photo and more details later.
He's lovely, gorgeous, utterly wonderful, and has fair skin, reddish-brown hair, and is altogether rather sweet. I accept I'm a wee bit biased, but still in post-birth euphoria!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Welcome back, briefly
So pleased to hear it, can't wait for pics! :jEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I expect we'll be biased too , but no hormones clouding our impressions. Cannot wait to see him.. I think its lovely he has 'red tones'. Do they appear in the families elsewhere?
