What are you doing here? If you're looking for work you have to be doing that 26 hours/day, a minimum of 8 days/week. You're rubbish, no wonder you've not got a job. Take any job, zero hours contracts 80 miles away give you work experience and a reference don't you know!!!!

    :P

My problem is I'm too lazy to work hard. I got a first class degree in computing so I didn't have to get a proper job, just contracts and then swanning around:D

All that in your post looks FAR too much like effort.

Sounds ideal. Now you just need to invent a killer program/app and sit back on easy street. Loads of those around that can be identified.... think about it after a beer (and some chips).

People can be cruel by being "too chirpy"
It's not just cancer, it's everything in life really ....

Yup, some people don't understand and as someone said (or maybe i'm imagining it - long day) it's worse when some random wants to hug you - that's not happened to me yet, but has in the past :eek:

    Congrats to NDG and family

All the best to Generali in your treatment :)

Mine don't swear. At least, they certainly don't when I can hear them. DS complains about how much swearing there is at his school, and DD tells me off when I say "bloody" so I rather suspect that they don't swear when I'm not listening either.

I think most don't, at least around their parents, it's just those that do, shock you, especially when the parents don't react, as if it is normal.

I don't think I've heard my dad swear... not even the time when he put a hammer ontop of a step ladder, moved the ladder, hit his head with the hammer, put the hammer back onto the top of the step ladder, moved the ladder, hit his head with the hammer again, and I laughed at him.

Edit: I'm feeling awfully trendy... just uploaded my first video to youtube. Heh. It's awful :)NoI'mNotGoingToGiveYouALink.

Sorry to hear that NPs are having bad days - hope they improve tomorrow.

Good news Gen, hope the radio goes OK.

I should be getting tea as I'm going out in half an hour, but I can't be bothered. Perhaps some of that tube of Pringles, followed by a piece of my cake?!

I've not done that myself yet, you're trendier than me.

I would if I had a video cam and something to upload.... part of my New Life Plan, involving watersports, is to get a headcam so I can video where I go...... could be pie in the sky that bit, we'll see.

Sounds great. Nice, healthy food .... all "makes me feel good" food is healthy as it makes you feel good which is, we're told, good for our health :)

I've got to be ok tomorrow. Got some official people from my professional body that are coming in and want to interview me, god knows why me, but at least I get a free lunch out of it :money:

Also had an email about the job application I've started. They've decided to bring forward the closing date to 5pm tomorrow from 30th June because they've been inundated with applications. So I'm a bit in two minds; on the one hand I really just want to vegetate and can't imagine I'll do a good job of it (especially when there have been so many applications), but then I might as well at least have a go.

That's the trouble if you've the tiniest bit of self-doubt or lack of confidence.... I know how that feels. Arrogant/opinionated people with half the qualifications/experience can get hired just by talking the talk :)

    Good luck, whatever you decide.
