Been on Facebook this morning, and Bulgarian Girl has uploaded photos of roses and chocolates that had arrived that morning. I had suspected she'd met someone else. It was definitely finished but I still feel like I've been kicked in the stomach again.
Oh and my 'friends' from uni went out again last night for someone's birthday and neglected to invite me. That stings a bit as well.
So it's all a bit !!!! really.
Get rid of her from your Facebook feed. That's C21st breaking up 101 surely...? (No idea myself, I last broke up with someone before Zuckerberg started High School).
I always used to cut all communications off when I split with someone. It's simpler by far although it can sometimes feel a bit brutal.0 -

You need to remove her from there, honey. What you don't know can't hurt you.
I'm sure it wasn't personal on the birthday front, invite some of the out with you soon. They might have thought you were already invited by someone else. It's never as bad as we allow ourselves to think.
I am having a very bad day indeed, as well. No one I can remove from facebook.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Been on a little trip down to the benefits boards... er, I mean jobseeking
Wow, it's all one bunch of unemployed trolls having an argument with a set of significantly underemployed trolls about how the unemployed trolls are workshy.
My kind of place. It's almost as crazy as this board used to be in the good old days, except with less complicated formula.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I will have to have a look, the day I'm having, I could willingly unemploy myself.:(0

Yes, a great relief.
Part of the problem with cancer is that everyone knows a few people that have had it and probably a close relation at that. Thus every idiot is an expert. Someone's Dad had a really good experience with radiotherapy (Although he died a little later) so radiotherapy is clearly a piece of wee and I need to pull myself together. However someone else had a terrible experience and so I should be terrified.
Both people actually know they are right. There's only so many times you can say that the plural of anecdote isn't data to your boss before you sound needlessly aggressive.
The only thing I know for sure about cancer is that it f*cks with my head and those of a lot of others. Anyone who can get through it without the headf*ck is a hero in my book. Half the battle is dealing with the headf*ck, the other half is personal and nobody else walks the same path.. purely imo of course.
People sometimes say stuff just because they don't know what else to say at times. It's worse when they physically hug you. I hate being hugged by randoms. The weird thing is, having said all this I'm as guilty as the next person. Human nature sure is strange at times. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

There's a lack of places you can simply moan and moan - and places to sit and scream alone .... although driving at 70mph on a motorway would be good for that as you won't be heard.
People can be cruel by being "too chirpy" when all you want to do is curl up and cry.
It's not just cancer, it's everything in life really .... society seems to want to make people feel inadequate for being a little low in mood, or ferociously angry at the hand they've been dealt.
People are too quick to talk about looking on the positive side, when that's the last thing you want to do really ... you just want to howl.
Howling is good ..... I hope anybody who needs a good howl finds somewhere to howl in private.0 -

Oh no. So many NP having a tough time ATM.
Either of you feel up to telling us lovely supportive NPs what's going on? No need to if you'd rather not, but we're here to receive your rants if it would help.
Dodgy hugs to any NP going through the mill ATM for whatever reason: :grouphug:
Also, bugslet, do the sort of vehicles you deal with still have those paper circles to put in the tachograph, or is it all electronic these days? Because if you still use them, might you be able to supply me with lots of used ones? I like them for the introductory bit of teaching speed-time graphs.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
