Thanks guys
I've just done about half of what I need to do tonight.
Having a bit of a break then I'll get back to it!
Well done Masomnia. :T
Keep going.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

You're sacked!!
There you go

I've had a day like that, too. It's my first day back in the office, so I guess that could be considered 'normal'
My phone charger has decided to stop working (but leave until the phone has 4% battery left in it before doing so), and I have a rental car for the next 4 days (over 1500 miles to do on various things, and I refuse to do it in my own), so can't plug it into the armrest.
Then Apple claim it's not a warranty item......brilliant 💙💛 💔0 -
I do wonder sometimes if I put way too much pressure on myself. One of the questions is about doing a project to fixed deadlines. As a note to myself I'd left 'Dissertation (Boring)', but I couldn't think of anything else particularly suitable. So I've written about that and how I did a Gantt chart for it (which I may well have done
). And I think 'well that's !!!!, everyone's going to put that'. But does it really matter? As long as I've answered it I should be fine. Graduate job, no worries.
I always assume everyone else will be putting 'I designed and constructed a orphanage in Kenya, having to raise the finance, recruit enough locals in time, as well as source the materials; before the rainy season began. The orphanage was finished ahead of schedule and I saved an extra dozen children's lives.'
I'm sure most people will talk about their dissertation. Probably low self-esteem that makes me think this way.
Last one:Resilience: Please describe a time when you faced a difficult or unexpected challenge. What was the situation? What did you do to maintain your performance and commitment?
Do you think if I wrote about filling in this form they'll think 'He's cheeky. Like it!'?
Probably not.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Great news about the tonsils, Gen.Been on a little trip down to the benefits boards... er, I mean jobseeking
Wow, it's all one bunch of unemployed trolls having an argument with a set of significantly underemployed trolls about how the unemployed trolls are workshy.
My kind of place. It's almost as crazy as this board used to be in the good old days, except with less complicated formula.
They are a bunch of loonies down there. As far as I can tell, someone has been ppr'd and occasionally posts unlikely things under new user names and seems to think that she (think it's a woman) Oscar Wilde reborn.0 -

I don't think I've heard my dad swear... not even the time when he put a hammer ontop of a step ladder, moved the ladder, hit his head with the hammer, put the hammer back onto the top of the step ladder, moved the ladder, hit his head with the hammer again, and I laughed at him.
Edit: I'm feeling awfully trendy... just uploaded my first video to youtube. Heh. It's awfulNoI'mNotGoingToGiveYouALink.
I'm ultra trendy then....I uploaded my first one 6 years ago!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I'd probably need a book sized answer sheet for the last one, it would have to cover the last blooming 17 years!:rotfl:We made it! OK... tonight's NPT equivalent of a 'first world problem' (aka a Nikkster triviality).
Will prob delete:

I'd pick the nicer place on the basis that security would likely be better and I'm less likely to have some scroat keeping me awake with drunken antics.
The last thing you need before a business trip is having to deal with stolen laptop or a sleepless night.0 -

Well, seeing as I'll be at a wedding I'm not sure I can promise I'll be entirely soberBut yes, that makes sense. The late check out is also appealing. As is the potential for air conditioning (guessing that won't be a feature of Uni halls...).
90 squid though
I don't think I've ever paid to stay in a hotel in London before (I did a mystery visit to one but I wasn't picking up the tab for that).0
