When I was younger and had a nice looking car I enjoyed driving round town.... or even driving to the coast on a hot Sunday.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »We're probably not all that far away from car mounted sensors sending night vision images to google glass or similar, so enhancing the ability to see at night when driving for almost anyone. Now I'm older, driving is a nuisance that I have to do to get to places and back.
I'd be quite happy to have a completely automated car - a driverless car .... in fact, I'd go so far as to say that if I could just "dial a ride" on my smartphone and a driverless car would turn up at the kerb in 10 minutes and whisk me to my destination, I'd be quite happy (cost of that depending of course), rather than keeping my own car on the road.
Maybe that's the future: nobody has their own car, but we all swan about in driverless cars and just pay per mile. Cars that don't have accidents.
Marvellous. Want to drive 600 miles to go on holiday ..... get in, curl up and go to sleep, wake up at your destination

I think it's you alone in knowing there was another semi-final - and knowing about it - and knowing enough about the subject to have an opinion based on what you know/saw.
There are countries on that list I've not really heard of (outside of being on the Eurovision list each year) - and given a map I'd have no idea where any of them are (except somewhere between France/Germany and Russia).0 -

Not alone... CK knows too. Just proves that in NP terms the Eurovision is beloved by us Hertfordshire types (just waiting for michaels to come along and shout "oh no it isn't!")Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Pastures, what are the dimensions? Why can't the microwave go under the boiler, is the space not tall enough? I wouldn't put the other two under a gas boiler but not sure about microwave. NB: I don't have a gas boiler as I live in an all electric house.
How about having the microwave wall mounted so you still have worksurface space? We've got that at our place in America where we have a tiny kitchenette with a sink, microwave, toaster and coffee maker and nothing else.
This is someone else's image, but it is what it looks like:

At the risk of verging dangerously towards being on-topic for the board, has anyone else noticed ebay bargains are getting harder to find?
Keep getting outbid on stuff. Doing my head in at the moment!!!
Damn you George Osborne and your pesky economic recovery.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I don't do ebay, sorry Hamish. I don't like buying anything that involves a transaction with an individual rather than a store and I absolutely hate having to give feedback. I know you get ebay stores, but I get DH to do it if there's something cheaper in one. Plus people spend too much time on them looking for things that they don't need. I don't do ebay, facebook or twitter. They all eat up too much time. I will look at twitter occasionally eg for traffic updates if there's a queue on the road but my use is functional rather than social. I sound such a luddite. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I don't think I have ever had a mirror in the kitchen.
We don't use it, but I think it is because it is next door to the bathroom, so families could use it to brush their teeth while someone else is having a shower. I don't know... I've never really thought about it!
The furniture etc are set and the same for everyone. It is very Floridian. We often go for two weeks and manage fine with the small kitchen, though we almost always eat our main meals out and use it mainly for breakfast and snacking. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
