Birthdays are what other people have in the main ..... they're non-events without somebody else doing something for you.
You gotta get that web cam set up P
The grown ups in this house don't do birthdays.PasturesNew wrote: »The correct answer is 5.
6.5oz got .... get the almonds out and pour out 2.5oz..... then another 2.5oz to scoff immediately.
The unwritten rule of any baking/cooking is that if you open a packet, you're allowed to scoff up to the same amount as the recipe requires ...... without looking like a piggy.
DS had skin pr*ck allergy testing again yesterday, seems as well as tree nuts he is allergic to peanuts again now
House renting costs a fortune, cleaning (should be recoverable from last tenant) 652, Plumber and new shower 320, Inventory clerk for check out / check in 250. Plus no doubt a bunch of agents fees
Plumber was suggesting he needed to ake toilet bowl off the wall as seat has concealed fittings - given this lack of knowledge my confidence in him was pretty minimal :eek:I think....0 -
I dislike it when people try to make assumptions about me or pigeon-hole me. I guess, in light of that, I should be quite happy for someone to check rather than assume!
There are a few assumptions I'm happy for people to make. In fact I'm happy for some people to assume some wrong things too. But assume the Mrs, the boobs that enter the room before me and the fruitless but wide enough for child bearing hips suggest 'female' are ok. If not one must presume:) that combine with the make up and jewellery I was hoping people might assume 'female'
The last consultant scored me on undressing. DH and I both found that very unusual. Usually one is left alone to dress and undress, though I don't mind, tbh, I'd rather just get on with it. He also scored my underwear, all in a nice non seedy way designed to put me at my ease I think. I think he was actually watching to see how well I coped with dressing and undressing. He was super impressed by my very stretchy slip :rotfl:
( I did wear my best bra and knickers though, so feel a bit under pressure to come up with something at least comparative next time)0 -

Please tell me you are joking.

You'd be in the first batch .... you're not scarey ... it's those others... the overwhelming ones.
I'm OK with 1-2 people.... after that, what's doable/not depends on a mix of total numbers and other stuff that just can't be put into words or explained.0 -

DH was there.. ( I won't go to consults with out DH now because of iatrophobia) apart from gastro who for some reason doesn't bother me in the least. I suppose I consider it totally separate, even though its not)
It was quite funny, not seedy.
Do you think that might have made my blood pressure go up? :rotfl: I actually, probably felt most comfortable with that bit:rotfl:. Although I did snap a little about the slip.
'What is that? is it to hold you together? Its incredible'
Lir turns. And as much as a shaking, weeping woman who is also laughing can give a withering look gives such a look and says,
'Its just a slip'
and then I sort of wriggled out of it and snapped it. Which might have been more impressive had I the figure I think I still should have:rotfl:. He then said 'good, very good' .
He is a really nice guy spirit, it wasn't an uncomfortable moment in that long afternoon. I was actually a bit rude but not because of the undressing thing but because I was ratty and scared and his loveliness was atypical IME in the face of me being practically climbing the walls at some points. He's been amazing since, texting DH right up till Easter. ( I think he might be on holiday now because DH emailed to arrange an appointment now results are back and no reply yet.....)0 -
