I am NOT disputing what you do for you. As I say, apart from my prescribed meds which are not pain killers I take no pain control now. Often this is a really stupid move because when you take pain medication too late rather than too early its less effective. Its to do with how feedback works.
Oh I agree. I got a vivid example of your point when I decided to go in to work a couple of days after the op (strictly speaking little over a day and a half after waking up).
Obviously I couldn't go to work taking 80mg(?) of codeine 3-4 times a day. I'd be a dribbling wreck. Don't take it then.
It took the best part of a day just to get the pain back down again.
I'd describe it like trying to keep helium balloons in between a couple of sheets held together with rubbish sellotape.
If you go round regularly and top up the tape, you're fine. If the balloons escape then you have the devil's own job of getting them back in again.0 -

Strangely the first one I picked who my friend said was really good completely failed to return my calls / email, so I then picked the one my sister is using at the moment who has turned out to be pretty good so far. I will reserve final judgment until the whole process is done though!
Well, I know nobody
It's hit and miss really ... but as the first one I'd "picked" still hasn't bothered returning my calls, I took that as a clue they might not be the one for me
Ended up at £625+VAT, not £550+VAT .... but it'll cost me a whole new month's rent if I pick a slow call returner.
Currently hoping to be in by 2nd half of June....0 -

I thought I'd left mine in a hotel the other week, was really disappointed until it turned up in the car!
Also exciting is changing the head on the toothbrush. ( ok, exciting might be pushing it.) I got a new head at the weekend and makes me realise I should have changed a while before.
DH and my dentists yell at me because I am over aggressive with my teeth and the toothbrush heads splay too quickly.. Apparently teeth do not get cleaner you just damage them and the brush
:o:o
One of my paranoias is that because of my health problems my teeth have yellowed, and because its from the inside out IYSWIM there is nothing that can really be done I think.
I should register with a dentist. I have been here long enough.:o.0 -

I'd not recommend ours. He was terrible, disorganised and DH had to jog him along all the time. He also charged too much. He is a relative of dh's and family rates often mean "charge double for having to deal with family".
I have suggested we have that 'branch' out here for lunch but DH not keen. I think its a shame.0 -

You could dilute the effect by having everybody out on the same day ... then you don't have to have so much contact with them0 -

The whole of dh's family? they have get togethers by the hundred. They won't fit in our house..
This lot I was suggesting there is an older couple and three adult children and partners and then the next generation. I think of the next generation as quite young, as only met one once, but actually, she's quite big now and working as a model.0 -
For Doozergirl - as I know she tried this: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4940125

Boxing Day at nan's the room was 13'x11' and in it there was a huge old sideboard, dining table/6 chairs, big sofa, two armchairs, TV table and .... us (5), aunt/uncle/3 kids (5), aunt/uncle/2 kids (4), nan/granddad (2). Then at teatime the others would come aunt/uncle/5 kids (7). So 16-23 of us! You didn't even get a chair to yourself.0 -
His prank call from Marcus Garvey was used at the start of an Ambient House track (by The Orb I think..?).
Actually I found it:

I don't normally like prank calls but that one tickled me for some reason. A bit like that program Trigger Happy TV. I can't stand that sort of thing as a rule but that was very clever and rarely at anyone's expense.

I couldn't stand VLS's prank call series. not a fan of pactical jokes or prank calls. People have killed themselves.
Haven't any knowledge about pain control. The Mice in the Mouse party I posted a while back explain how the painkilling neurotransmitters are affected by opiates. The mouse on the sofa is on opiates.
I'm a total wuss regarding pain. I expect it to all be as bad as toothache and will take painkillers till the cows come home to avoid it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

One of the reasons planning a wedding was such a night mare was that fil insisted huge numbers of family must be invited and they live all over the show ( and I doubt were very interested). Dh has a fair few first cousins. His mother came from a largish family. The second cousins......there just seems to be more and more and more of them, I swear they just find random people who look a bit like them to try and joke with me. :rotfl:0
