I couldn't stand VLS's prank call series. not a fan of pactical jokes or prank calls. People have killed themselves.

Haven't any knowledge about pain control. The Mice in the Mouse party I posted a while back explain how the painkilling neurotransmitters are affected by opiates. The mouse on the sofa is on opiates.

I'm a total wuss regarding pain. I expect it to all be as bad as toothache and will take painkillers till the cows come home to avoid it.

Take your point but there's a difference between calling a reception desk and a hospital no?

    Not really, no, IMO.

You don't know the person at work at reception isn't themselves coping with a high stress situation in their life and holding it together just enough to get to work and cope with a normal day. I think prank calls and things designed to make people look or feel foolish and self doubt are mean and potentially cause years of self doubt to people at a vulnerable stage.

Courtesy is something I would say we can suggest extends to excluding such activity.

I've been looking at built in dog beds on google image.
    Some are amazing. Just amazing.

Less amazing, but practical and budget conscious, are the pet ikea hacks

Some amazing small animal houses around.

I think even the one there's bigger than the space I'd be working with. I'll be able to see once it's mine....

I think we should agree to differ here.

I think there is a strong and clear difference between asking someone to pass a message on to someone who won't ever arrive to claiming to be an authority figure and getting someone to do something that could cost them their job.

I'm in the minority it appears. So be it.

I had a look. The one where the dog sleeps underneath where the humans sleep reminds me of what we used to do with Avatar Dog when using the caravan - make him lie down between the sofas that were going to turn into a bed, and then assemble the bed a few inches above him. He didn't seem to mind. :)

When we get a dog it will be sleeping under the stairs. But our stairs are open treaded, so I don't think we'll be able to enclose the dog sleeping space.
Understairs is spoken for. Its going to be where a cat litter tray lives with a Tom and jerry mouse hole type entry into it I hope.

Make sure there's a way to get in that's big enough for a human to be able to clean inside.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yes, I want the wall but to be on hinges, so it looks normal panelled staircase like now, but is this hidden litter tray bit. :). Then we can clean it out easily but smell should be contained and the whole area in there can have an area of mat to stop litter tracking out to the house.

    In theory.

Even if the worktop filled the space, it still wouldn't use any space in the room, so you're saving some space there. Just depends if you want the storage. My aunt had a full mini office in hers!

We have our ironing board on a hook on the back of the door of the understairs cupboard. Works well for us. Wit just you, there should be enough space for everything, somewhere.

See how it goes, size/cost depending.

Also exciting is changing the head on the toothbrush. ( ok, exciting might be pushing it.) I got a new head at the weekend and makes me realise I should have changed a while before.

DH and my dentists yell at me because I am over aggressive with my teeth and the toothbrush heads splay too quickly. :o. Apparently teeth do not get cleaner you just damage them and the brush :o:o:o

One of my paranoias is that because of my health problems my teeth have yellowed, and because its from the inside out IYSWIM there is nothing that can really be done I think.

I should register with a dentist. I have been here long enough.:o. :o

It's one of my weird little things; I change the head of my toothbrush 1st Jan, 1st April, 1st July, 1st October.

It's a bit OCD but in a way it means I don't really have to think too much about it.

I haven't been to the dentist in about 18 months, but I've just made an appointment as a tooth which was bad and was filled has just crumbled a bit more. It annoys me because I do look after my teeth! I asked my dentist last time about toothpastes he'd recommend for me, and he gave me this sample from Colgate out of this box, which didn't exactly inspire me as I think it had more to do with Colgate's marketing than his professional opinion.

I'm not in a position to spend £60 on a toothbrush but maybe if it would be significantly better for my teeth then I would.
