Go to the library at lunch for a snooze as is my occasional guilty pleasure. No real pain. Wake up and head back to the office. Call the wife. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OWWWWWW!!! Ah yes, other ear. No problemo.
Snoozing in the libraries is against the bylaws in a lot of local authorities here. We have a specific issue though... drunks get plastered and then come to the library for a snooze. When you wake them up they wee all over the chairs. In a previous library we'd get through about a chair a month that way:(. Obviously Sydney has a different class of visitor.
But most importantly, your news sounds good and like you are on the mend:T:T:T:T. I would keep my fingers crossed for you but that makes typing on the NPT notoriously difficult. Instead I will cross my toes and hope that I don't fall over when trying to stand up.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Dh has a fair few first cousins. His mother came from a largish family. The second cousins......there just seems to be more and more and more of them, I swear they just find random people who look a bit like them to try and joke with me. :rotfl:
I was form. If I hadn't met them, they weren't coming. MIL was fine about her side, FIL had a hissy fit. Some cousins on MILs side had evening invitations, but FIL hates most of his side so why on earth would I have had them?
10 years later, still glad. Haven't seen any of FILs side, barely seen MILs.

I've been mentally wondering whether to "open up the understairs area" and visualised a little worktop space and mini office there - somewhere to spread/do paperwork and file it .... then I remembered the reality of the space. The stairs aren't wide, they start with a turn, then there's another turn and the bottom of that's in the living room .... if I ran a tape measure from the edge of the stairs to the wall I bet it's just 4' ... and any "worktop" would fill the depth
It's something to mull over once in... I'd like easier access to the whole area for storage, but then it's a question of "storage of what?" There's a couple of coats, maybe a small box of shoes, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron .... it'd soon fill up without any fancy ideas.0 -

Understairs is spoken for. Its going to be where a cat litter tray lives with a Tom and jerry mouse hole type entry into it I hope.
I'm thinking of the back lobby with the air source units in. Bed obviously not big enough for big dog , but would be too warmfor her in there anyway, But perfect for the part dogs and pat heat seeking missiles ( Dogdog and kiwi)
Kiwi is so dirty ATM I am not sure of I will ever get him clean. He is changing colour again.
Edit: there is a gorgeous image some where of a window with bookcases either side of it with built in beds at the base, very 'stately'.0 -

I saw a neat work area understairs this week, ( looking at built in dog beds).
I am also now serious looking out for old wardrobe doors to form divide our room from the bath room.. Possibly to be entrance in to our room to actually.

Not necessarily for michaels to answer, but is it just the money that's preventing you from doing things 'just for fun'? Or the time? Or the energy? Or the feeling you should be doing something more 'productive' or 'educational'? We need more to live on than just work, food and sleep. That's just surviving IMO.
What Nikkster said. Please do think about these things, michaels. You sound as though your life is not very satisfying to you ATM.Major step forward for youngest son...he went to the big town with friends on Monday to visit the cinema!
Well done Youngest. And well done Sue for coping with letting him go. And well done the friends for looking after him.lostinrates wrote: »Have lost a word and its bugging me

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Even if the worktop filled the space, it still wouldn't use any space in the room, so you're saving some space there. Just depends if you want the storage. My aunt had a full mini office in hers!
We have our ironing board on a hook on the back of the door of the understairs cupboard. Works well for us. Wit just you, there should be enough space for everything, somewhere.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
