Counts are 'counts' for a reason... and are indicative of separate offences that can stand in their own right.

There are many, many drugs in classes B & C... which you could have possessed - you didn't indicate Class A.

You merely indicated that the amount was 'significant and more than the bag of weed'... no mention of a higher Class of drug.

It's semantics but you've used those subtleties to minimise the description of your crimes not me.

I feel for you as we are in the same boat, slightly diffrent circumstance but same, family disowned me.

1. Dad got loads of money from Grans inheritance and wont help me or siblings...when I confronted him about not fulfilling promises he , my mum and 3 sisters absolutely excommunicated me

2. We cant choose our family just like death and taxes.....but to know that had I not had an angel for a wife and I fear I would have been long in a news material suicide done...

- to know you have supposed family that will not take you in and laugh at you when you are rock bottom is the worst, I hope they have their smug faces when they face judgement...

One of the posters is the best advise, move on, be the best of who you can be because in this crazy world, the more you are succesful, the more people want you....even family

I don't blame you Scuffer, this thread is now starting to verge on cyber bulling IMO. Like you say, you posted asking for advice on the Family section, but instead you got alot of abuse....you're right, that says a lot more about those people than it does about you.

what does it matter if he said class a or b - I think you are nitpicking. he didn't come on to be judged on his crime, he came on here to find out how to build bridges with his family. I never thought he was covering up, I understood from the start that the drugs must have been more than just weed as no one gets put away that long for a first offence for just weed.

Scuffer, good luck mate - just remember, you can pick your nose but you can't pick your family.

Scuffer you have done your time, so don't let anyone make you feel bad, If what you have said is correct, I wish you all the best, Move on with your life, rebuild it and hopefully bridges with your family will be built in time, Never trust anyone to the extent you did before to lay your liberty on the line, choose your company wiser.

No offence taken. I only looked to try and get more information due to sentence length, drugs involved and to help me understand why his family might be refusing contact with him. If anything, it verified his story to me that he was a bright young lad who hadn't been involved with the police before and had done something incredibly stupid.


It also highlights that if you post anything on the internet then be aware that you may not be as anonymous as you might think. As I mentioned several times, the OP has served his sentence that was handed to him and I wish him well for the future.

Role and quantity aren't hte same in drugs sentencing. Of course, quantity makes a sentence higher, but role plays a significant part in sentencing as well, and is not the same consideration as quantity.

That's just how the sentencing guidelines work for drugs.
