I am not referring to the polite people some of you have encountered....I'm talking about the people who approach you as you walk out of the store (you have no choice but to walk past them) and are persistent to the point of intimidation. This does not reflect well on the store. They should and will address this if enough people feel the same way. I'm not suggesting banning these people from the store - I only suggest a "non approach" rule.0

I know what there OP is on about some in Tesco in Bradford set themselves up near the entrance and were acting like they were security.0

Thing is what is the point of a salesmen if he can't approach you? They may as well make a sign saying 'Windows for sale - go online if your interested' or whatever their selling if they aren't allowed to try and reel customers in..
They will never do it, if a particular person is being rude then report them - you can't demand that they change the system to no approach because of one or two individuals.
Companies are just advertising to promote themselves - I don't see harm in that in it self.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
............you would be surprised0

......the letter at the beginning of this page was sent today. It was posted here to gauge response. Clearly I'm wasting my time - people must enjoy being constantly solicited by strangers
Well this is an open internet forum so, yes, now you come to mention it, being "constantly solicited by strangers" who want to promote some particular view or, "gauge response" (as you put it), is pretty much par for the course.
Oh, the irony.:)0 -
thank you for that incredible insight and wisdom but the problem is not solved by ignoring it (if only that were true of petty morons like you) the problem is solved by customers telling people like tesco etc how things can be improved.
This isn't Tesco, Einstein, it's a forum for people looking for help and advice about credit cards.0 -
Dear Diary,
I have absolutely nothing to moan about so I am going to seek out something and then moan about it. Then I will join a forum so I can moan that I moaned. All that glitters is not gold.0 -
This seem very apt.Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to [STRIKE]speak[/STRIKE] post and to remove all doubt. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
