  • Woohoo just opened one of these for me and the other half. Would you say this is a better option than the nationwide flexdirect? I have my NW for another 11 months but I really want to get away from them as they have caused me no end of problems. Or would it be best to keep £2,000 in NW and £2,000 in TSB and save the rest in Santander 123?

I'm new to TSB and I was given the option of paperless statements!
I think you've missed my earlier post(s)? I opted for paperless on my first application. The 2nd one didn't given me the option to go paperless...nor do I have an option to change on either account.

Not quite as you need to have a paper bank statement as proof of address- no one seems to accept Internet bank statements !
    Other options:

    Ask them to post one
Print the pdf version from your online area
    Use another bank account
    Use a gas bill/council tax bill/etc

Not the end of the world is it!?

Most places won't accept statements you printed yourself. The TSB (and the Lloyds) one screams "online document" so is not widely accepted. But as you say, there are plenty of other statements and bills etc that are being accepted.

I had the same problem so I logged out of my TSB online and filled in a new form. When I logged back in again it had linked to my other accounts including my first plus account which I had applied for when already logged in.

Just successfully applied for the second one. Thanks for the suggestion.

Have to say though I find dealing with all these accounts a royal PITA. Imagine a Santander 123 account that paid 5% on balances up to £20k. Would be so much better. :p
And imagine an account with anyone else but Santander that paid 5% on balances up to £20k. Would be so much better still

Upgraded my existing classic account this morning to the new plus account one. Very simple. I'm sure the old one you had to pay in £1000 each month (which I didn't meet) to get the interest so I cant be any worse off as I know I can get £500 in :j
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.

Credit searches have driven me mad as they can not think rationally .....

I'm not all that convinced that credit searches for current accounts really have that much effect if your credit file is alright. I'm a student and have opened 5 current accounts in the last few weeks without issue. As soon as TSB email me to tell me my first Plus is open (I had to go to branch to show ID), I will then open another one. I don't expect a problem.

I guess this will be different if you have issues with your credit file though.
