found this on the moneywise site

There's nothing in TSB's terms and conditions to stop customers taking out two individual accounts - which could earn them up to £200 a year - but couples are also both able to open a joint account, providing they transfer £500 in to all of the accounts each month.
That means couples can open six accounts between them, potentially earning themselves up to £600 in interest over the course of a year if they deposit £2,000 in each of the six accounts.

Savings Champion (www.savingschampion.co.uk) also think you can open four accounts each, with the latter two of the four needing to be a joint account, so as suggested above, six per couple. Of course, their source of information could be completely wrong:

See the table at the bottom of that link. My other half has just opened two and I'm just about to do the same. Think I'll leave it at that for today and pop into a local branch tomorrow to see if they know!

Not one to miss a bandwagon (or chance of cash) applied for one earlier this evening.

Have to say though I find dealing with all these accounts a royal PITA. Imagine a Santander 123 account that paid 5% on balances up to £20k. Would be so much better. :p

I have managed to open two classic plus accounts online tonight.

I transferred money from one of my secondary Lloyds Vantage accounts to the main one so that I could transfer from there to my main TSB account (already set up as a recipient). However, I was unable to complete the transaction as I did not get as far as entering my password - looks like computer said 'no'.

Have had to ring Lloyds who took all of my details and said that it will now transfer tomorrow.

    Nothing ever runs smoothly...

I think you're right. I've gone into 'change details' and it won't let me add any income data etc, only change the basics, so I'll just ride it out a few days until the activation code arrives.

I might just bung in a couple of £K to check everything's OK with the interest come Wed night/Thurs morning.

I'm new to TSB and I was given the option of paperless statements!

Successfully opened 2 Plus accounts in my name, funded and set up SO from one to the other and back again.

Opened up one for the OH, but when I tried to open a second it said they cannot offer a second current account. We both have 3 Enhance accounts each.

    Going to try again tomorrow.

I expected mine to fail if any of them were going to as I have opened 2 YB and 3 Lloyds accounts in my name in the past 5 weeks.

It doesn't *have* to be managed online. It can be managed fully in branch, by phone, or online. The only difference with this account is you must go paperless...and most people do these days don't they?

Not quite as you need to have a paper bank statement as proof of address- no one seems to accept Internet bank statements !

I had the same problem so I logged out of my TSB online and filled in a new form. When I logged back in again it had linked to my other accounts including my first plus account which I had applied for when already logged in.

Thanks for the info. Will try that.
