  • Can anyone help with this please?

I got round this by applying for a normal classic account (without plus) then upgrading to plus when open.

  • I just received a snail-mail letter from TSB, thanking me for being a customer in their first year. I don't know why because I am registered for paperless everything.

    Anyone else had this?
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

    Yup

Got mine last week. Like you, I'm registered for paperless everything.

I quite like the sentiment :) just as when they apologised to me when the system stalled a while ago and I suffered a minor inconvenince (about which I did not complain, nor did I seek compensation:p)

I don't like the waste of paper :(

We've just opened our 2 joint accounts in Branch. Quite easy really, he said everyones doing it. Most people that open these accounts have all 6.

He should have called his account 'PesterPaul'!

  • Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I opened up 2 of these TSA Plus accounts with £2k in each but I've only been making about £6.50 interest a month off each one. Is that about right? I was hoping the interest might be a bit higher than this... Seems like a small return for £4k. Has anyone else had similar experience?

    Thank you,
    Barlte

That's correct, it's around £6.44 to £6.86 a month, depending on the number of days in the month, for a fully funded TSB Plus account.

You need to use the Gross interest rate, 4.89%, to calculate your interest for the year (as you cannot get any compounding for a fully funded account). That's £97.80 before tax, and £78.24 after tax.
