I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

I had the same "light bulb" moment as you a few years back. My ex-husband had left (after his third affair). I was devasted, and would have forgiven him for anything. About three months after he left, we had a serious telephone conversation when I asked him if he would come back. He ummed and arrhhh'd. We chatted. I was convincing myself and him all would be OK if we got back together. Eventually he said no he wouldn't come back.

After I had put down the phone, I realised how close I was to having him back in my life  - and how much I really didn't want him back. I was much better without him - and my life was happier. Thank goodness - it was such a relief he said no! 10_1_103v.gif

Six years later... and all is very well with me (the same can't be said for him but hey ho - not my concern anymore!).

Be strong... and have a brilliant day!

good for you PLB, I knew you could do it but it's too easy to remember the good bits out of context isn't it? Well seeing it is offically your first day of a new life can I say

    WELCOME TO THE WORLD!
The sun is shining, life is good and there is someone out there that is everything you ever dreamt of but who doesn't put a price on their love. Do yourself a favour and learn to love the person you are now and don't jump into a relationship til you are ready (btw I know that sounds like nagging but we all know it's instinctive to try to fill the gap ending rather than let the wound heal first)
  • Happy Birthday PLB. I am so pleased and happy for you, you've given yourself the best birthday present ever - a new life, its fantastic. Thank you for making MY day, I've been following this whole thread and like the other posters have been worried for you. I feel very uplifted. The sun is shining, the birds are trying to get to the feeders before the squirrel empties them again, and life is good.
