Hiya PLB
I've been keeping up with this thread and watching as you've come through this horrible time. Things are looking up eh? Good on you girl. You get out there and show everyone what you're made of.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
I had the same "light bulb" moment as you a few years back. My ex-husband had left (after his third affair). I was devasted, and would have forgiven him for anything. About three months after he left, we had a serious telephone conversation when I asked him if he would come back. He ummed and arrhhh'd. We chatted. I was convincing myself and him all would be OK if we got back together. Eventually he said no he wouldn't come back.
After I had put down the phone, I realised how close I was to having him back in my life  - and how much I really didn't want him back. I was much better without him - and my life was happier. Thank goodness - it was such a relief he said no!
Six years later... and all is very well with me (the same can't be said for him but hey ho - not my concern anymore!).
Be strong... and have a brilliant day!0 -

good for you PLB, I knew you could do it but it's too easy to remember the good bits out of context isn't it? Well seeing it is offically your first day of a new life can I say
WELCOME TO THE WORLD!
The sun is shining, life is good and there is someone out there that is everything you ever dreamt of but who doesn't put a price on their love. Do yourself a favour and learn to love the person you are now and don't jump into a relationship til you are ready (btw I know that sounds like nagging but we all know it's instinctive to try to fill the gap ending rather than let the wound heal first)0 -
Happy Birthday PLB. I am so pleased and happy for you, you've given yourself the best birthday present ever - a new life, its fantastic. Thank you for making MY day, I've been following this whole thread and like the other posters have been worried for you. I feel very uplifted. The sun is shining, the birds are trying to get to the feeders before the squirrel empties them again, and life is good.0
