Re Miroslav's post: Hear, hear! I wonder who outnumbers whom? The happy or the unhappy? The satisfied-in-other-ways or the unsatisfied?

Noooo pick me im closer.... well... use to be, but i am closer to the north yorks moors.... and near to heartbeat ... and the steam railways..... and the beach..... pick me pick me...

for what its worth i also beleive in instinct/gut feeling, as a wiccan it comes in ueseful ;-) ... also looking at psychology ... and making a general sweeping statement...i beleive men and women are innately different, women need comfort, love & security as they are generally dependant on the male to proved for them as the female is doing the childrearing... However, men are different, they dont appear to need that same security as they will never be tied with childrearing, and will always be independant... so they dont put as much emphasis on the partnership/marriage, cos for them, its not about caring and sharing... life to men is about spreading their genes, and protecting the species (evolutionary speaking). Males & females are only reacting to their own biogram (brain sex)

however.... if it came down to it, the species would survive thro one man but many women are needed! think about it... i just done a module at uni looking at the female biogram... very interesting...

personally i dont beleive we can change our biogram, men & women are intrinsically different .. we will never change a man to think like a woman or visa versa due to brain sex

now ill sit back and wait to be slated ;-)

    food for thought perhaps ??

I agree with you completely on this, loopy lass. No political correctness from me......nature is nature and you can't change it. Women were designed to have babies.....that's why they have wombs. No getting away from it, no matter what the politically correct brigade think!

    Vive la difference. :D

    Hi loopylass

Interesting that you're a wiccan - my daughter was moving in that direction when she died at the end of Dec 2002. She was passionate about the environment and I have some of her books: 'the Hedge Witch', those kind of things. We've done a lot of things in her memory, planting an oak tree at the agricultural college she went to, our wildlife garden...but I digress.

Re men and women...well, what my present husband wanted, needed and couldn't live without, was love and affection, warmth, a feeling of security and not to be taken for granted. Which was the reverse of what he'd had in 2 previous marriages when he was fit, active, virile. I asked him once what an older man would want (after watching an older couple bickering and sniping at each other in the supermarket). He said 'love and affection' before all else. Demonstrative love, kissing, cuddling, holding each other, this is long after sh***ing like rabbits no longer appeals or is possible! Treat each other with politeness and respect. Even something as simple as holding hands is very important. Being able to laugh together, being able to converse intelligently. Respecting each other's views...I think I even influenced B to vote Green as well as me, even though he laughed about it when we came out of the polling station (no one cared how we voted because it's unfortunately such a safe Conservative seat, unless you live in a marginal seat no one is bothered about the votes of two individual people!)

Take care, and have a lovely day

Brain sex !!! no way does this refer to a woman. Its the comfort feeling thats generated a woman has sex after feeling the comfort and love. A man feels the comfort and love after sex ( generally speaking) thats how different we are.
