ColliesCarer, you are a STAR. How kind of you to go to that trouble. And thanks for the advice not to speak to them! I don't think I would have, but still...
Again, thank you.0 -
This is from the PE website:
We work in conjunction with our clients to ensure that there is a free flow of traffic through their car parks so that genuine users are not inconvenienced by motorists not utilising the parking facilities for the purposes for which they are intended.
To my mind, this should automatically let any genuine shopper off the hook for an accidental overstay. Shoppers are who they want to attract, not inconvenience - they say so themselves! Most people aren't inconvenienced by other motorists, but by PE.0 -
Dear playgoer - why are you wasting life and vitality on that suppurating drip-feed contaminant'
You're being sidetracked, which is how we found you at the start: come right away -:Tnow:T:D
That's 'tuck away for future' stuff at best, if needed.
Now, keep eye on ball and set to on those mgrs.

I wasn't getting sidetracked; it was something I went back to check on that I dimly recalled the skunks having written on their site! I just thought it was the perfect demo of what double-talkling hypocrites they are, so forgive me. I have good news...
Well, what an interesting morning I’ve had, trailing 30miles round trip to the retail park to speak to store managers and to shoppers.I won’t name the stores or the retail park, but if anyone want to know, pm me and I’ll be happy to share - unless it would be a good idea to publicise the place? Anyway. I spoke to thefirst manageress, who was sympathetic and offered to ring the landowners to putmy case to them. She said she’d ring me to let me know what happens – and she just has! As I was writingthis. And – she’s spoken to PE and they’re going to cancel the charge and send me a letter to confirm. If they don’t(I did ask!) then she said get back in touch with her. I’m too emotional to becoherent at the moment. Wow. And I said that if/when the charge is dropped, Iwill donate £10 to the charity the store supports, Cancer Research.
I’m now going to celebrate a bit, then I’ll come back andtell you about the rest of my visit, which was very interesting.
Not wishing to be premature about this, as I don’t trust PE,but I have to say that without the help and support of you guys and gals on the forum, this wouldn’t have happened, and I’m (in advance) eternally grateful. Way togo!
Btw, if you still think I should submit an appeal, I’ll dothat. Apparently the letter may take a week to come, and I don’t want to get caughtup in crossed letters with threats of court!

Just to say - there are some very strange bits of formatting in my previous post, not due to incoherent celebrations (sun not yet over yardarm) but to the tranfer of what I was writing in Word format when the phone rang.0

playgoer - this is splendid news, thankyou for sharing the first flush of it.
I'll take my little rebuke re:'side-tracked' happily:-) when I see 'skunks', 'double-talking hypocrites' and 'I don't trust pe' in your post.
Do let us know when that letter comes.
I know some of the expert posters are interested in the language used
Once again, so good and such a relief for you.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Yes, that's a common thing, as it is when POPLA acknowledge appeals: they've been shorn of spacing and layout. That's why the alt.format advice is given. Fine if it's available on your putah, but it isn't on mine.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Just read the stuff on the link you gave, ColliesCarer - very interesting! I hope it all turns out the right way for all concerned 0 i.e justice for the defendant and*** for PE. that's justice, ain't it?
Can anyone advise me what I should do now while waiting for the letter of cancellation to come? Should I contact PE via the website and tell them I understand the CPN's been cancelled and do not expect any further communications from them except their letter of confirmation? I'm reluctant not to make some sort of contact, in case -as I think I said in a previous post - the letter doesn't come until after the 21st, which is the date set on their last nasty missive for me to respond.0
