Well done indeed playgoer - and so much good fodder there for the Threads.

[a]You have the name of the land-owner. I'm sure many readers will be VERY interested to see that.

You need to be in contact with that other customer who is taking pe to Court. Your later date pics, visit, can show nothing changed.

[c] Your mini-survey initiative is very informative, from outlets and motorists.

You've definitely just won a special prize:-)

Are holiday firms breaking the law if they demand the full cost of a holiday when you cancel within a few days of travelling? One Money Box listener was so convinced they were he challenged Thomson Holidays when it kept the whole cost of a cruise after he was forced to cancel because of his wife's illness. He went to court and a judge accepted his arguments in full and ordered Thomson to refund the full £2256 plus court costs. Can others follow his lead?'

Fantastic - Who knew that beneath the surface lay the caped crusader:T
Shopper and Retailer surveys - getting the name of the landowner - hats off to you

Ampersand is right you have information and evidence that could be really helpful to others getting scammed on that same retail park

Just take a look back over your thread from your first post and then give yourself :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin

    Name and Shame time CC?

    D'accord?

The Landowner name is a special treasure. I haven't been able to discern mine despite massive effort, but always intended doing something akin to da-rule here - and will:

Can't get in touch with the Starbuck's customer - he apparently just walked into the shop and said he was going ahead with the court case, but no one had any details about him.
Yes, my cape was at the cleaner's when all this started!
As soon as I get the letter from PE I'll come back and tell you the name of the retail park and the landowners, if you like. Forgive me if I don't do it until I've got that letter... you don't know who's watching...

That's absolutely the right thing to do Playgoer - so no forgiveness needed
Look forward to hearing from you

Still nowt from PE... it's a week today, but I can't imagine they'd be in a hurry; trouble is, I don't know how long to wait before I go back to the shop manageress and ask her to chase it up for me. I did email PE to say that because I'm waiting for their cancellation letter, I'm not lodging an appeal (however, the only place to do that was on the "appeal" link!) and also emailed both POPLA links to say what was going on. I may write a snail mail letter to PE today to reiterate the situation; th epost hasn't come yet.

    Hi Playgoer,
As it's quite a distance away for you would suggest ringing the shop first to chase up and ask manageress to contact them again for you as you've heard nothing yet.
See how it goes with the shop first and come back on when you've spoken to them.

I admire all those who not only beat the scammers, but are pro-active in costing them money. Should the Memsahib acquire another invoice, (she is under strict instructions not to), I hope that I will have the time and the inclination to emulate OP's stand. I salute you sir.

Hello playgoer - thankyou for the steady updating.

I'd also be asking POPLA and SteveC@britishparking.co.uk to apply their electronic cattle-prods to pe parts; re-send every 2days to all concerned until you have that letter.

Include a generic intro. sentence, easily alterable, 'this is my 3rd/5th/18th since pe undertook to withdraw their unenforceable demand for money[with menaces]. I am still waiting for this'

I read yesterday of sth similar, where poster received verbal confirmation of historic w/d of 'invoice' for the 1st time, but also a further demand simultaneously.

If I find it again, I'll post it here.
