Very envious; I've hardly seen ours at all this year.
However I've seen a few 'paired' frogs in the pond, also a plump-looking newt.

My LTT are not about but approx 8 frogs have been at it hammer and tongs:eek: the tiny wildlife pond is awash with spawn.

    WM1 on
Car is away for MoT and only needs a tyre and a couple of bulbs for now.

Pretty sure DS3 has OSD so he is a tad grumpy :(
DH rang to say that DS2 is not well - feel so bad for him it is a 3 day trip for his 18th and he is throwing up :(:(:(

Think I'll clean the bathroom whilst DS3 is quiet and then see if he wants to go out after lunch.

Belated happy birthday for you, Deco! Sorry I missed it.

One frog was despatched this morning, another one is scoffed right now. Excellent.

The worst of the stairs had a bit of attention this morning. I have no idea how long the bobbles on a C@rpet are supposed to last, but three sides of mine are worn down to nubbley stumps. Excellent little things, and it just goes to show how much Devil Cat and Mrs Dog are shedding. Kitchen floor had a lick and promise S&S - a soggy microfibre cloth wrapped around the broom head seems to work just fine in leiu of a proper bended-knee floor wash.

WM x 4 so far today and the tumbler has now been kickstarted. It's misty here so line-drying is not that effective but the towels seem to be drifting in the breeze a bit so that's a help. If I can clear the last five loads today, then when the current theatrey-types leave on Sunday I'll only have two sets to squeeze in the machine.
    Better is good enough.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Well, I managed to get my lists cleared and eat lunch then I came up here to update my list and started doing some paid work. I'm all up to date for the weekend, so that's good. I'm off now to do some ironing, doing some more WM shuffling and possibly wash the car (?).
'See' you later, have a good weekend.

The second froggie Somthing that has been hanging around like a bad smell for months (if I'm really honest with myself) has not only been well and truly scoffed, it has been moved on the next two stages in its process. I am well chuffed.

Does any one know the legal age a babysitter has to be?

My OH has booked us cinema tickets for tomorrow at 10pm and my niece and nephew are wanting to babysit for us and sleep over.

    Dd has a ear infection
DS2 is cutting a tooth, the other two had nearly all their teeth at this age, he only has 6!
Ds1 is needing stronger steroid cream for his eczema
I have tonsillitis but it should improve by Sunday.

Not a great deal of cleaning at all am so sore, and the kids are clingy.

Very late birthday wishes for C.Y and Deco. Am sure you both had lovely days x

    Evening all

Ooopps another day lost to the garden. Just spoken to DS2 and he doesn't sound at all well, wish he was at home.

Need to hoover the kitchen floor and sort out some dinner for DS3.

    There isn't one.

You could leave your child home alone or with a 5 year old babysitting.. however, if they are under 16 and the child hurts themselves you are responsible still so can be prosecuted. If they are over 16 they are legally responsible if there is an accident and the child is hurt.

Who do you and your child/ren feel comfortable with?

Thanks Pigpen, I don't like the idea that you can leave them with any age, I think they should change that.

My nephew is 15 and my niece is 14, we are going to the local cinema, OH is driving neither one of us is drinking. DD is very excited to have them stop over, and they are too. They would know to call us if there we any problems.

OH finishes work at 9pm and the film starts at 10pm all children will be asleep and DS1 usually wakes up at around 2am but we will be back for that. It will be the first time I have been out without at least one of them for 5 years!

I felt a bit more normal so I WUDUPA sorted out the ironing piles and cleaned the worktops.
