Ionafan- Any size? and do they need to be full open toes. thought I'd ask before I go hunting. I cant find a size on these as DS had them for corfu at 15 months (hes 11 in a few months!) so probably a toddler3/4, he only wore them for the week but at the minute I can only find 1 but if they will be of any use I will go hunting for the other. We kept them for ds2 but he didn't start walking till he was 3 and then needed special shoes. No idea if they are leather but they are mini mode which I think was boots? Will try and get a pic up.

JTTOU- I was going to write my updated list but WILL JOIN YOU AND MAKE A START IN THE BOYS TIP (oops, sorry about caps)

Any child or toddler size will do; not necessarily full open toes or real/synthetic leather, but I'm after the Biblical look! If you can PM me a picture, that would be great. Thank you for looking, charlie!

Apple munched, coffee slurped, stuff thrown back in utility cupboard for the time being so that when DH eventually gets round to sanding down the filler, he won't get dust in the pile of dusters :p

He has gone out now, so I can get on without interruption. Off to clean the vinyl flooring...
  • Ionafan, will work out how to post a picture and send it to you p (may have to wait for my 12 year old to show me lol).
Was going to do boys room but will make a start on the girls as have a feeling it was in a box in there (the box is now empty).

    Good Morning ladies,

Neveah. I'm so sorry, Be kind to yourself as you come to terms with things.

Mothernerd Welcome to the thread. I'm humbled by your activity, Good luck with getting the house ready for sale.

    Honey Bear Lovely sentiment x

    Lozzy Get well soon.

The kids are at school, I've been to the co-op and got loo roll. Why does nobody tell me we have run out? I only discover it when I find there is no paper in our en-suite because the kids have pinched it for their bathroom.

I've washed our bed sheets. DH was scratching in the night and they are covered in blood spots. He has a rash all over his back but won't take anything to stop the itch. Beautiful day for drying outside tho!

I have a orange loaf cake in the oven. The kitchen floor needs hoovering as I dropped the bag of flour. I'll give the stairs a going over as well.

I'm meeting my friend at 12.30 for lunch. She's got the same issues as me with her teenagers an DH so we are going to try to formulate a plan together over some cake.

The littlies have left their lunchboxes on the table so I'd better run them up the school!

Neveah more hugs while you re-think how your life will be not as expected, but still good after you've had time to adjust and plan.

Had lovely no-fly day yesterday with 12 'old' friends. Took motor bike so missed traffic and weather was lovely. Had meal and chat at a restaurant right beside the river - chat started about 12 noon, finished (for us) at 5 when we went on to another friend for a couple of hours.

Back to work 'n' stuff with a bump today. Already cursed OH for seemingly putting dw on before he went to work - plan was for me to press the button when the sun came out. Didn't occur to me to feel it i.e. HOT so it's now on its 2nd cycle. Defeats the object of using the solar energy!!

Need to go and move some plants out of the greenhouse for the day, then get ready for uni.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

... a massive spider in the bath!! When DS came in he went upstairs with the dog and the spider was soon dealt with.

If you hang a length of loo paper over the inside of the bath so the spider can scramble up it, they let themselves down the outside and scuttle away to carry on the good work catching flies.

Huge (((hugs))) Neveah. Please take today very gently and be kind to yourself.

Kazwookie, if it's a synthetic duvet and the quality of the new one is similar to the old one, I'd be tempted to let it go and get the new one because my first reaction is always the 'least work option.' However, the big machines in any laundrette can easily cope with them and they dry in a trice and that would be a lot cheaper than drycleaning it - in my experience, £8 washed and dried for a 13.5 synthetic double. Do you know why the cat peed on it? Paying for a replacement will be wasted if the cat is trying to tell you s/he's upset about something and the situation continues.

 Hi Mothernerd! Paint-splattered energy vibes heading your way.
    Better is good enough.

How did you get on, JTTOU?

    I have
    - finished hoovering and dusting all round the house
    - steam-mopped the kitchen, DR and hall floors
    - hoovered the utility, plus back and side porches (RoDs!)
    - cleaned the utility sink
    - decided, after reading Neveah's post, that a painful shoulder is not worth making a fuss about, so cleaned the windows in the kitchen, DR and LR inside and out. Now we can see the garden properly :)
    - at the same time, wiped down all windowsills that I can reach and cleaned the splashes off the front door
    - changed into tidy clothes, ready to greet my friend :)

The sun is coming out and the long-tailed t!ts are back

Must go and empty the DW which has just beeped at me.

Hi all - update - not as much as would have liked but I have an excuse - I was interrupted!!! I had put 1 hr 12 minutes on my timer as I started at 10:18 and I got one bed stripped and in washer, dusted both bedside tables and contents, 15 minutes clearing a hotspot, sorted dressing gowns ready to wash and was just about to strip second bed when the doorbell rang!!
Have spent the last hour and a bit chatting to two men in uniform about something important - won't go into details - needless to say it has been the highlight of my day/ week/month/year!!! Just hope it helps.

About to have lunch and then will set timer off and get going again.

Just read what you achieved Ionafan - think I must be particularly slow or you're a whirling dervish - in the nicest possible way! We usually get long tailed tits too - will watch out for them they are so beautiful.

Anyone up for a HHC folowed by HHI at 1:30?

JTTOU- Hopefully I can join you at 1.30. I didn't get as far as planned as my sister arrived to give back some money she borrowed last week, didn't expect that at all.

Spent just over an hour in the girls room. I am absolutely fuming! In that time I've probably found about 3 foot of floor, filled a whole wash basket, thrown a whole bag of rubbish including dvd's and cd's that were just throw onto the floor when they have put a new one in. DD1 will swear blind it's the little 2 but all the rubbish and clothes are hers. Just having a coffee and will start again until dh gets home.

Thought I better edit to say there will be no HHI here, they only throw their clothes on the floor anyway. No wonder it's a tip here!

Still haven't found the sandal I was looking for though!

    Huge hugs neveah

Afternoon for 'planning and prep' so I am at home. Emptied DW before work and pegged washing out. It's glorious here. According to my car its 21 degrees c:eek:

Had a minor strop this morning and stood my ground and didn't change my morning to suit others, Not like me - but if folk aren't going to put themselves out for me... the boss was complained to and was just about to ask why I couldn't change my plans when he was diverted by a minor crisis.
