Painted the cupboard doors. Painted inside the bathroom cupboard, using up an old can of paint. Emptied and scrubbed the bath as I was desperate to get in it. Warm and clean (still got bits of missed paint - don't wear my glasses in the bath), smothered myself in lavender body lotion (cs bargain). Hoping tomorrow is more cleaning and tidying and only a little bit of painting-would be really helpful to get all the towels etc back into the bathroom cupboard -then I can start preparing the small (last) bedroom for painting -oh no.

    Good flying everyone.

    Morning everyone

Well I spent 2 hrs flying last night, didnt get finished until 9pm. OK I know its pathetic but I changed my mind about doing the bathroom because there was a massive spider in the bath!! When DS came in he went upstairs with the dog and the spider was soon dealt with.

So I did DSs bedroom instead, changed his sheets and hoovered the landing and stairs which really needed doing. I also got all the laundry sorted and now have 2 loads of washing to hang out which I will do in a minute.

Paid stuff this morning, voluntary stuff this afternoon then I have a little bit that must be done on job number 2 to fit in somewhere. Will tackle DS2s bedroom and bathroom tonight then that leaves our bedroom and study to do tomorrow.

Oh and hope the day goes well Minniemouse - thats quite a list!
  • Morning all - welcome to Mothernerd - you made me want to go and lie down after the first part of your post! Well done for getting so much done in a day. It will all be worth it when you sell. Suggest another important thing to do as well as deep clean your house in preparation for selling is to de-personalise it. Remove most family photos and mementoes ( hard I know but will be worth it). You can tell I watch too many house type programmes!!!! Ann Maurice, The House Doctor, is very good if you can get to see any re-runs of her progs and Amanda Lamb has one on a Tuesday on Channel 4 I think.

Plan for today is to do what I didn't yesterday - as I had another afternoon nap after lugging very heavy trolley home from the local shops!!! Then tackle main two bedrooms.

Thursday - Bedrooms - which one(s) you choose
    Basic Flying
    Change the bedding
15 minutes tidying a messy zone
    Clear and dust one surface
    Wash the dressing gowns
    Deep Cleaning
Hoover the floor and behind/under anything safe to do
    Dust the lightshade
Wash any ornaments/vases rather than just dusting them
    Clean behind a radiator
    Decluttering
Sort somebodies clothes, will any of those shorts fit this summer? - put some of DS's into bag to take next time we visit. Won't dispose without his say so and he has no room for everything where he is atm.
Upto you what you declutter maybe something you've been putting off for a while - old school papers to be shredded.
Spend a good 15 minutes sitting in the sun, sort your seeds if you like, make plans for the garden or just sit and enjoy the rays. and more gardening at the same time though wheelie bin is full!

Have a good day everyone. I have put my spoons out in a row and will use them wisely today - I promise. There are a few spares if anyone needs them. xx

    Daily stuff done
Cat peed on the duvet, not impressed, it won;'t fit in my WM grr, the dry cleaners will charge about £20 to clean it, but mrt's are selling kingsize winter tog 13 duvets for £20.50, not too sure what to do and the peed on one if fairly new.
    any thoughts?
