I feel so relieved after all the attempts of trying someone is giving me a chance. I have an interview with debenhams thursday but i'm going to cancel, they should have employed me first time around :p

I haven't got a job but a 4 week paid trial and if the trial goes well, it will be a permanent position :jshe says she does this with all her staff. I was thinking it was my joke which might have impressed her but it wasn't, she said i come across as a lovely young lad and what impressed her most was when i was leaving the shop, i stood back and held the door open for an elderly lady coming in. I just do that naturally, the old "after you my love ladies first" she liked seeing that as she says not many young lads nowadays do that.

I'm now getting really nervous because its my first job in 2 years and its crossing my mind that i wont fit in and the other staff might not like me. I really want to impress because its £7.20 an hour, 40 hours a week and that is more than enough for me to get back on track. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant believe it!

Absolutely brilliant. So pleased for you. Congratulations!!!!

Great news Scuffer, well done! I've not posted on your threads before but I've been following your updates with interest.

You deserve this chance. And stop worrying about the other staff not liking you. You come across as a likeable, intelligent, thoughtful person. If you're anything like that in real life I doubt you'll have a problem fitting in.

So please for you scuffer. And don't worry about fitting in, as you can see from your thread, you charm all of us, so can't see how it wouldn't be the same in real life. Just don't relax and make sure you continue with the efforts. Be absolutely certain not to do anything silly not meaning to do it as you've been given your chance now, you need to honour it, but I'm sure you've gathered that and will do brilliant.
