Afternoon Ff sounds like your little dinner party went really well..well done for that..I think it's a great idea any extra goes into another account and then transferred as it so easily gets lost amongst other money when in a normal account...I put money away seperately as well and it's a lot easier to keep track of...hope you get the babysitting...take care xx

Excellent news on the "found" money in the bank account :T

Hope you have had a productive time at the allotment, and that you have a good evening x

lol I'm the same bagpuss! Always hold my breath when I go through the front door but love the veg stalls and always have banter with them! One asked me yesterday if I'd given him a 5 or 10 note! I said it was a 50...oh no the new 100 note!! Was honest & said I'd given him a 5 but made us laugh! Where do you live?
Just had the left overs from lamb & roast pots - yummy! Never would have done that befroe I was a dfw - would have gone straight in the bin! What a waste! Must get on as off to the allotment to clean the loo then off for surprise party! Back later!

I'm in a small ex mining village just outside Caerphilly although it's only a 10-15 minute drive into Cardiff. Enjoy the party:D

  • That could be a number of placed Bagpuss! Drove up to ponty for surprise part earlier. Managed 2 hrs but not feeling great as think I have a cold coming on - sore throat & feeling generally caccy but thankfully working at home tomorrow but have alot to do...Saw old friends & caught up as much as you an with zillions of children on a sugar rush around!! Friend just got a camper van which was lovely & friend whose party it was liked the pressie. Watched the driving thing on bbc1 and it was good - nice sunday viewing. Rememberance sunday always gets me as I so cannot imagine how terrifying it must have been for lads going "over the top" etc and even forpeople now must be terrifying. Fighting is all vey well in theory (or not as the case may be) but I suspect people realise what they have got themselves in for all too late. In my old age I'm turning into a bit of a pacifist I think; I studied war reporting at uni and some of the photographic images just cannot be erased from my mind. For one essay I went to the imperial war museum & saw the original photo of the young men playing football on Christmas day and the memory will stay with me always...on that note am off to bed. Sleep tight all..

  • ohh lovely tree!
Had a fairly busy week with running on Monday and subsiquently not being able to walk yesterday & today! Did walk - run 1 min of each for 1.9 miles and then walk for 1 mile so very proud of myself for that! Others there are quite super sporty fit (ie do trathalons/marathons for a laugh!!) so trying just to go with the baby steps theory plus resist my usual habit of buying things related to new hobby! Mind you CC statements with Maceys vet bill came in so thats reminded me of the need not to spend! Thankfully pay day next week but still Christmas to navigate! I think the unions have now settled that pay dispute (goig on since April!) so hopefully that wil mean a backdated pay packet soon & mortgage is about to be redeemed so that should be done & hopefully may even be some dosh back as redemption based on last montsh totals but unsure how it works TBH!! Will ring tomorrow.
Other than that just catching up this eve n chillin! Got toothache & hoping it goes as the crowned tooth it's on is on its last legs so if it doesent go there will prob only be one thing for it which will mean another gap!

  • JUst wanted to pop a post in to say I've changed username. Just felt it was too recognisable and known by all & sundry so after some explanation the lovely teches have changed me! I notice that diary still comes out as FF (although I did change it!) and guess it will take some time to adjust! I was also getting a bit hacked off with the various lewd comments (& some quite offensively rude but not on this site) about my user name (something I hadnt thought of when I started) & as thats just not me at all felt the right thing to do & have changed on all forums! I guess my mind just wasnt far enough in the gutter eh!!
Off babysitting tonight so some extra dosh & I think I'm going t separate the money into jars when I get it as otherwise it just gets eaten up and spent. It will still be spent of course but hopefully more wisely & carefully that way. Anyway, must on as things to do!
