Decided to xfer money out of savings and go to town for friends 40th pressie, jam making bits (discs etc) some veg from Cardif market which I ove - some real characters in there! Potaoea have been par boiled, jam made (plum!) and a wash on! Wok at 5.58 so feel I've done a good day already! Ok pepys..off I go! HUgs for you - will catch up later! Have a good day. Very proud of myself for resisting the CC...I did consider it under the "oh stuff it" category but resisted the urge!! First time in a long time so am chuffed that a compromise that didnt involve getting more in debt was reached. WIll be sensible in town & its a quick shop cos I need to tidy & have a snooze too, plus cook the meal!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Blimey, you have done loads so far, compared with me who just drinks coffee and is still in dressing gown!!
Well done on the compromise and NOT saying stuff it! I hope you have a sucessful shopping trip and yum to the chocolate torte.......chuck some over my way!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Ooh, fishface, your last few posts sound *lots* of fun. I could well live with chocolate torte instead of bannoffee, nice as bannoffee is... and aren't you organised today! Am also still in my equivalent of 'jamas, just about to deal with a few emails, and then some accounts info. Listing, but not doing, well done you. Have a great day for the rest of it too!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

panic not...back home & in my pj's/jamas (I live in them at home!!) and finishing of lunch which was yummy bacon, eggs & mushrooms with toast & jam & a cup of tazo chai (my last box for now cos its 3.50!). Got some jars on special, labels & disks plus veg & pressie for friend - nice silver pendant - very simple but classic & within budget! Then came home and cooked. Rest of the day will be spent doing a misture of tidying, chilling & cooking in preparation for tonights meal which I am looking forward to! Chocolate torte looking rather yummy and will let you know what its like! There's bound to be some left - wish I could share it with you but suspect K&J will go home with doggy bag!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! wel we all survived! K&J arrived with grany, 3 weeks old daughter & 2yr old son which is always ineresting in my compact & bajous flat! Grannt kept happy with wine, 2 yr old with chasing the cats & the rest, Ihope with food and company! A lovely even with much laughter when the 2 yr olds sugar rush from choclate torte kicked in! Food was yummy if I dont say so myself, although chocolate torte would have ben better with normal cho rather that 70%+ cho suggested as VERY rich! Wish I could have sent you a slice taxi as K&J. predictably, went home with doggy bags! JUst too rich to eat more than a little bit & that was with cream!! Just finished the wine off & watching the memorial service on BBC1 which once again pales debt into insignifcane with the reminder of how precious life is..
Despite being am English woman have lived in Wales for 14 years and very happy that Huw the main commentator. The Welsh accent takes a while to get used to but now I am I live the accents and it really is like coming home! Music to my ears! I watched a local prog this week where 2007 families lived as miers did and it was incredible to watch - we just dot know how lucky we are pepys. So many "wants" rather than needs and just reiterated the fact that there is nothing wrong with going back to basics; they all managed, kids were happy but dirty & OH's learned t enjoy each other again...just made me think! Am off to bed as pooped after waking so early - tried to snooze but couldnt!! Big hugs. Sleep tight all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! morning debt busters! Have a lovely sleep then read in bed with toast & yummy coffee...my fave thing! Am on the third of the trilogy from Philip Pullman and cant put it down! Excellent news this am is that I discovered 29 in my LLoyds account - thouht I'd better check the account to see if any money in there as been using my FD account for a while & there it was! Lovely PLUS sold a book on GM so £31 up this am! Have recognised a trait though that I need to change. Its been an expensive month this month with Macey, sisters birthday & K's birthday but I've not really made extra inroads into debt despite getting some more money in and need to think of a way around this. I have a separate savings account & am tempted to transfer any money I make into that & then transfer it into CC's the next month - that way it earns interest (doesnt in my main acc) and there is more of a cushion there for unexpecteds like K's birthday! The problem when its in my main account is that I think ooo extra dosh, what can I buy!
Having said that the car needs a service, cats need to be vaacinated which is no 1 prority as insurance doesent cover them otherwise! Its goddaughters birthday (£10) but appart from that should be a cheapish month. ahh yes Christmas!!..car tax due in Dec! What a naff month for it eh! Also need to work out how much I need for Christmas in terms of a realistic budget! Wont be expensive and hope to get some more babysitting.
Had another phone call yesterday which sounds hopeful but tring not to get excited as I've had a few non starters there! Fingers crossed, sounds nice & sensible & think we got on on the phone and it could be a regular thing which would be great - plus may want some Sat's.Fingers crossed as I got all excited about the last one and it didnt come off so that was disappointing.
Aww dotty cat (naughty but very loving!) is having a surge of love - sitting to my left, almost upside-down on cushion, on her back wrigging in a look at me, gimmie lurve way!! so some light tummy ticking is in order! Will catch up later! Hugs all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

lol I'm the same bagpuss! Always hold my breath when I go through the front door but love the veg stalls and always have banter with them! One asked me yesterday if I'd given him a 5 or 10 note! I said it was a 50...oh no the new 100 note!! Was honest & said I'd given him a 5 but made us laugh! Where do you live?
Just had the left overs from lamb & roast pots - yummy! Never would have done that befroe I was a dfw - would have gone straight in the bin! What a waste! Must get on as off to the allotment to clean the loo then off for surprise party! Back later!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
