    Okaaaay..... this isn't exact, but:

    17.9% is on 570 over 5 months

    570 x 17.9 (press the percent button) = 1020.3

then divide by 12 and multiply by 5, for the months involved = 42.51.

To do it precisely, you'd (I'd!!!) need to know the monthly interest rate, cos thats what they actually charge. And there'll be a reducing balance to take into account, too.

As for an increased credit limit  oh yeah, I can just see those Jimmy Choos right now....... :rotfl:

  • dont worry taxi you did mine for me!! As for Jimmy Chooos...ooo I wish! Atually I dont now and am such a tgightwad that I'd prob just wal round saying "pay that for a pair of shoes, you must be joking" like I did when I recetly went to John Lewis! My cousin & I used to have comps at who could spend the most money when we visited! All on credit of course & I rarely even looked at the label & tought nothing of spending hundreds! Shameful eh!!
Feeling REALLY caccy now so going to log off in a mo and dose myself up and get an early night in the I'll feel better ...so far have sniffles, hot & cold, earache & starting to feel quite achy! Night nurse here I come!!

  • Feel cack so off sick...feel generally cack and my tonsils have yukky goop and have a temp...great! Think its just a cold but will keep an eye out. Worst thing is I'll have to go out as have no more tablets for cold & flu...may have a rummage though & see if I can make do!
Payday and boy is that depressing. According to my accounts I am exactly where I was last month! Maceys vet bill of course but I'm going to pay some extra into my now free CC so that I can at least feel psychologicaly that I've moved a bit! Going to wait though until mort payment sorted as dont now WHAT is going on there...hopefully it will go through tomorrow but I'm not sure when the first payment then goes out for new mort - hopefully next month and that will give me this months to play with but as I type that realise that this would be too good to be true wouldnt it eh!!
Its flipping depressing though that money in & now all gone! Didnt even last 24 hours so this month will be frugal month & I'm really going to try hard this month. I can be quite lax about those bits & bobs and "treats" so will really crack down. I do need a running jacket & top but can get them cheap at JJB sports but other than that dont want to spend more than I have to. Going to have to dip into savings for Christmas pressies but never mind. Better than using creditcard!
Off to make a cup of tea. Hugs for you PAP, hope you feel better soon!

HI ISOM...it's horrifying the amount we pay out a month to paying debt off and just the general cost of living..isn't it?
  • Yes it is taxi & its no wonder I'm always skint as with the CC payments wages pretty much gone before I've started but never mind...just think how loaded we'll be when we're debt free! Wont know what to do with ourselves eh!
Still feeling quite caccy & now feel really sick on top of everthing else...dont know why, possibly all the gunk in my chest...yuck. Had a sleep for a bit and now just catching up on crap tv!
