  • Another day at home as still feeling cack (sick, sore throat & sinuses) when I woke up but will go back tomorrow..managed to hoover & go to boots for some super boosting multivits & some St Johns wort! Wish I could look at my diary from last year as suspect that this time of year is always tough for me - possibly SAD or just change in weather etc but I feel quite blah at the moment.
Good news is that I've had time to order a couple of Christmas pressies and mum is going to treat us to the ballet at Christmas so I just need to book tickets. Also good news is checking my IPOS account I now have enough for £20 boots vouchers! Yahoo!! I have £31 in points so guess where I'm getting my pressies from!! £7 also paid in from ciao who I've now closed (cos they're rubbish - gets you to do most of the survey & then say that you dont qualify! grrr!). Much prefer the others...would love to win something from GFK someday soon too; apparenty there is a 1 in 7 chance of winning & all I ever got was a £5 voucher months ago!! Bad news is the freezer door was open....a couple of things chucked but stuff at the back is (i hope!) ok and its now firmly shut! Proof if ever needed that it doesent do to have the reezer too full! Hopefully mortgage goes through today...fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rubbish - hope you begin to feel better soon.

I too want to win from GFK - do both surveys every day but have only won once back in April! Bah!

Great about the boots points and vouchers - also Ciao go through cycles - months can go by with rubbish surveys and then I can get one month where I do 10 surveys - mad.

Totally agree about the surveys - I just got £14.03 out of ciao, but I won't do them any more, they're terrible - 10 mins to tell you you're a female in SE England so don't fit their profile. Hellooooo!! Still like lightspeed, they do the qualifiers right at the start. GFK - I do their TV survey, what else is there (she asked nosily??).

Sorry you're feeling so cack, ISOM - I think its going around again, as well as other lurgies I've got I'm sure I've got a return visit from my virus... sigh... oh to be virus free and as energetic as Pania is right now!

    Good luck on the mortgage!

I just do the tv and radio surveys - can't do the internet one as I don't use internet explorer.

Hi ISOM, any news on the mortgage?

  • Just got off the phone after flippin ages! Its all gone through, although tosspost sols havent rung to confirm! Lukily rang mort co to check re payment dates etc as they had it down as 1st when it was specified as 20th so after much negociation they will take £178 on 4th Dec & then normal payment on 20th..I really hope that IS what they do as it will leave me in o/d if they take the full amount on the 4th as it will effctively mean that they are taking £177 extra. If they DO then I am up £473 which would be great this month! I'll leave the money in there for now though just in case & have asked them to confirm in writing just to be safe.
Feeling a bit better & do wonder whether its the flu tablets that are making me feel ikky...
Hypno have updated the longhaulers but can you amend your post (10 I think) to say go to post 1 IYSWIM?

HI ISOM..sorry you are still feeling bad but good news on the mortgage front so at least that's one thing less to worry about!!!..hope you feel better soon ..take care xx
  • Thanks taxi - I'll be ok its just this time of year always seems hard for me so next year will take StJohns wort early to avoid the winter blues & see if t makes a difference. It may just be that remort, macey, renewed ightbulb, dark nights & Christmas pressure have caught up on me! I'll be fine & TBH & looking forward to going back to work tomorrow! Daytime TV is driving me loopy! No wonder people get depressed, although there do seem to be less debt adverts than there used to be or maybe they're waiting to pounce until Jan?!!
