Not a great DFW week as long day yesterday so lunch & supper out but will get some of that back. Ebay stuff is at the same place so fingers crossed the two not selling will & that the price of the pack will go up! Havegot to take the cat to the vet (or one of them!) as she is looking v.thin & doing odd things in the litter tray. Going to a new vet that is closer (other one a 40 mile round trip) and they came recc so fingers crossed. Having cancelled pet insurance am hoping that it's nothing major. Think they would have refused a claim anyway as they're not vaccinated so trying to chill about it. Weight wise yesterday was a disaster so gym again tonight if I can muster the energy but I do feel absolutely shattered having had a 1 hour day yesterday...Normal enjoyment of the boards has been marred somewhat by the diaries argument and various sniped that have gone after it. I know people are passionate but why cant people just respect that others may have, and have a right to, an opinion that differs from their own? TBH I can see both sides of the argument & am easy either way - I just want it resolved & things back to normal but think that it will take a while as think there are some wounded people over it.
Anyway...off to get busy, dressed & going!
Update...well I felt tired & weepy before & now I feel battered & totally hacked off. Vet bill today was £69 (on what seems like ever increasing cc) and they think it may be her thyroid but I wont know until next week. At this moment I'm really wishing I hadent cancelled the pet insurance because this is going to cost me.(but they would probably have wriggled out of it because I dont have her vaccinated because she doesent go out!)..will have to investigate as they said they could remove thyroid but unsure of implication for both. She's not great at taking tablets and gets quite distressed. Plus she struggled while they took blood so has a cut on her neck...fan-bloody-tastic. Off to do some work & try to stop being a miserable cow. I am more aware than I was; paid off loads (but the CC seems like an ongoing battle) & doing OK...some days its just like walking through treacle though isnt it!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Morning fishface..sorry to hear about your cat..I hope she gets better soon and I totally agree that the insurance would probably wrangle out of it....It always feels like 1 step forward and then 2 back....and am sorry you are feeling low....you maybe need a good nights sleep..it's surprising how much that can help...this debt busting business sure is tiring!!!!..please try and keep your chin up...take care xxx0

Hi FF, G &T is reputed to do wonders for those suffering from miserable cow syndrome.
Drink in abundance and you will soon feel much better x
(oh and a good night's sleep will help a little too).
Hope you feel better soon - days like this come up and hit us when we seem to have least energy available to respond don't they :mad:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi fishface, noticed you'd swapped to WW and wanted to make sure you knew it's now cheaper to do a monthly DD and you get e-source for free - quite a bargain

aww thanks all...woken up, with crashing headache!! The problem with g&t theory! Thank you all for the encouragement though. I've decided to investigate pet insurance again but one where they dont have to be vaccinated as this has just proven to me that we need it, regardless of what happens with macey. It's given me sleepless nights (thus so tired) and I'd rather not have something else. The spending diary online is great and clearly demonstrates that I spend far too much in boots & on food so will go to old style & cut down there plus start doing en emergency fund for things like the vet as I will go over budget (badly!) this month because of that (& some new make up!) so today will be a sorting day! (again!) Packs are still at £57 on ebay but that will help and think I'll use that & babysitting money for emergency fund for now; wont take too long to get £100+ and that will make these emergencies easier to deal with emotionally & get rid of the wading through treacle feeling.
Thanks Gemmzie, being a good DFW I have this and love esource. Keeping the fees under review though as would be able to do it on my own but the real people socialble bit is important for me at the moment. You lot are great but I dont actually see/speak to you!! ANyway, off to sort. Big hugs & thanks again...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Morning FF...even though we have debt a emergency fund is good so as not to get into any more debt...not that I have managed one yet...but its on my to do things!!!!...though when is another matter...
I agree with the social aspect of wws /sw as it can really keep you focussed and is well worth the money for the sake of your sanity...and it's easier to stick to as you have to get weighed every week....I really need to join somewhere but have been waylaid every time I'm due to join..lol...take care0 -
Thanks for that! Please send postive vibes to ebay packs - currently at £134 with 28 mins to go....! Shopped today & did really well; cardi from next, jeans & sandals (gorgeous & with bling for £7!!) and then wool winter coat from m&S for 39 which is not bad I thought! Plus M&S make up so all good! Ok vibes focus time! That & fingers crossed!!
Update...sold for 134 (2 profit from original cost!!) & a bp monitor made (drum roll please!!) 99p!! OK so 99p more than I had...!! Saving pot possibly established! Phew!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Thanks taxi! Got a cardi today from dotty P for £25...feelin quite fluey today so dosed up on drugs which puts a rather large dent in but other than that a non waste day! Also worked out my expenses for work & will be able to pay off a fair whack this month because they owe me a bomb. Also explains why I am so skint as driven nearly 1000 miles this month! Bit gutted that I went to make strawberry jam & the strawberries I got have all gone moudy ahhhhh! V. annoying! Moral is that next time i need to use them next day! Diet going ok & have been pretty good today but didnt sleep well last night - brain whirr and worried about Macey's test results which I hope to get tomorrow. It could be psychological but she doesent look great at the moment - too thin for my liking & she's normally a tubby madam so it doesent suit her skinny!! Mind you she's been enjoying the extra TLC! Fingers crossed though...I've just got a bad feeling about it...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
