Love the penguin hypno! Have survived a day without it but do feel somewhat bereft! Sure I'll get over it & am hoping to get on o AQA so will be immersed in that if I do! If not I actually dont watch THAT much as always on here but there are things I really enjoy that are only on Virgin like the amazing race - will have to see if I can find out who won somehow!!! Thanks for the support though!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Not good was being turned down for AQA - I woke up with a bad feeling and was right! I've asked if I can apply again and will see! Never mind. Survived again without my cable!! Off to bed as been a LONG day!! Hugs all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Well good news is another book sold on GM for £4 and just had a call for some regular babysitting which is great! Going to meet them on Sunday and we'll go from there but BIG fingers crossed for that one please my lovely pepys as regular babysitting would be great! They also live fairly locally which make loss of earnings due to petrol better because I charge that as an all in price. I'm surviving without cable but if anyone can tell me who wins the amazing race I would be eternally grateful...I almost wish I hung on to it for a few weeks to find out but never mind!
Just watching C4 prog though on people in poor countries feels humbling...what am I moaning about eh. I have food; health & the NHS if that fails and a roof over my head, for now at least!
So for today I count my blessings, accept the fact that I have been foolish and say a prayer for those who are worse off than me...if that is you.. a huge hug for you!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Well it's pay day and in one side & out the other! Total debts now £30,667 which includes everything so aiming to realy crack the whip for the next couple of months as a catch up excercise to get the CC's down. Not much to ebay but hopefully the babysitting will make a dent and should have a good moth next month as LOADS of expenses owing, although in theory is a false figure IYKWIM but the money is ON my balances so means they will come down! Felt quite hacked off that I only managed to pay £236.32 from CC's but when you add the loans the debt repayment is £633 so that cant be bad eh! I CANNOT, and I mean CANNOT wait for the day when my monthly spending money is more than my bill repayments! Only about four years to go!!
I have made some cutbacks this month after much deliberation! Cancelled my gym at £29 a month as it's fine if I go 3 times a week but I rarely do so then becomes cheaper to pay as I go so thats what I'll do! Also HUGE decision made to cancel the pet insurance. For four cats its £26 a month and I've only claimed once EVER so decided to risk it. They are not vaccinated and I suspect that they would make excuses and also less liable to injury because they dont go out! One does and she is the knickable one (see avatar) but at the end of the day it's better to put it into a savings account instead! This is currently empty and I always have the saving vs paying CC off dilemma...always feels that I never quite get this right! Currently NO savings and plan to save some of the money from babysitting so I have at least a small cushion but pay most onto CC. What do others do out of interest? Worked out that I saved £75 a month for the next 12 months (gym, cable & cat insurance) which is great! Have also stopped having my fan on all night which will save a bomb & using a blanket rather than having the heating on all the time so bill should come down. STILL waiting for powergen to pay money back...3 months after I changed! Reminds me I must chase up cashback from switching and car insurance! Off to check it out! Hope you're all ok!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Well another week and been quite a productive one! Did all my DFW bits then had all my hair chopped off! In view of fact that I shared with the sat night party thought I should put the photos on my diary! So here we go....

So there you go! Me!
Today will be spent seeing people about babysitting (big fingers crossed!) and going to town to try & get some winter clothes. I did try M&S yesterday & left with mine & chicken tikka but no clothes! I must list my packs on ebay along with a BP monitor that I have, large jeans & a cossie! Hope you're all OK! Just trying to catch up with diaries!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Wow, what a transformation, you look fantastic! I can't see the new haircut pic very well, have you got a bigger version?
It must be so expensive having to buy a whole new wardrobe! And is it easy to keep the weight down when you started eating again?
Edited to add - I completely share your dilemma about savings vs paying off credit cards. I don't save anything, but that makes me feel quite vulnerable and anxious about big bills coming out of the blue. Not to mention the predictable big tax bill twice a year. My plan is to pay off my OD and smallest CC and then start saving - however that in itself is about four grand so isn't going to happen any time soon.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Blimey, what a difference. I hope that was a skinny latte from Starbucks.....;)
Keep up the good work, and make sure you put those "fat" photos somewhere as motivation for you to stay "on the wagon".Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
