  • flippin heck must get on! Thanks all! Yes it WAS a skinny thai tea latte from starbucks! One of the changes I've made is skimmed milk which I couldnt stand before! I love thai tea & really missed it! That is the first one I had so may explain why I looked so happy! Yes I am much happier & it is hard keeping it off & I still want to loose 2 stone & am doing WW. The downside has been clothes shopping as I literally had to get a new wardrobe every month and winter is coming & I feel the cold more now but am trying (unsucessfully so far!) to get a capsule wardrobe to do me! I'm still wearning some of my old stuff which looks ridiculous as 8 sizes too big!! OK MUST get on as I'm seeing people about babysitting at 11 & still in my pj's!! Hugs all! Wish me luck in town! Thanks hypno re the cc vs savings...I think I'll try & compromise & get 200 in savings from ebay etc & then whack the CC's - problem with no cusion is I get panicked & use CC so its a viscious circle!

  • Wow you look amazing -well done!:T :T :T :T :T :T
Just found your diary and what an insparation! This has given me a kick start in the diet stakes! Myself and my OH could do with loosing a combined total of 8 stone (I wont tell you the ratio lol!) and have half heartedly tried diets in the past but this seems like a great short term weight loss programme (my OH has high blood pressure and is on medication so will need to check with doc first) maybe it will bring down his blood pressure too? Could i ask which programme you used? You mentionned lighter life - I have seen advertisments for them, might have a look.

good luck with the babysitting x
You cant have everything; where would you put it? ;)

  • Aww thanks happy moneysaver! Lighter life is a complete meal replacement so you have 4 packs a day & nothing else! Cambridge diet is a simular one & much cheaper at £33 a week BUT no CBT/TA counselling. Either diet is not for the feint hearted! It IS hard work and the weight does drop of fast that there are disadvantages to this as you have to get your head round it; then the endless clothes shopping which does get to be a pain fairly quickly believe it or not! Financially & practically! Loose skin, social life adversely affected, comments about how great you look, men oggling you which is hard when you're not used to it! All take some time to get used to!
Just back from town and shopping which gets a definate  but I did manage to get pretty much all I needed to. 3 skirts, 3 pair of shoes, 2 shirts, 2 x jumper, tights and shampoo. Came in at approx £220 which IS expensive but being 5 foot nothing with very odd proportions it does become a case of getting what fits and some petite stuff is expensive...Also a size 14/16 in winter clothes but am a 12/14 in summer stuff which is odd (my summer stuff still fits too BTW!!) but possibly because I like baggy stuff in winter! Not as baggy as I used to but still baggier than what is now normal for me! At least now I will look professional in work - last week I was wearing jeans and while it's ok occasionally but I prefer to look smart on the whole!

The babysitting chat went well and I'll start on Tuesday but the hours will probably be a bit shorter than I would have liked (about 2) but as I said to them it's all money to pay off the CC's! Will keep you updated!

Hope you have all had a good DFW day! Hugs all!

Evening Fishface...well done on the clothes..I don't think thats too much as you got plenty for your money....you look amazing....is the weight coming off with wws ....the money from babysitting is also a good help I guess...I think we all have that argument savings versus debt...I struggle with it too especislly being self employed and getting tax bills..
  • hi taxi! No the weight has been a bit static (up a bit actually!) since coming off LL but you usually put on 1/2 stone due to glycogen stores filling up when you start eating plus I've not been saintly of late so need to pull my (new!) socks up & get into it and start doing some excercise! Spent far too much time on here recently and need to get off my bum & do something, even if its just a swim!

That happened to me and I was only on it a couple of weeks..I need to get on with doing something about my weight...exercise is the key I think, good luck
  • I agree taxi - that's when I put weight on in the first place! Used to be a gym bunny & was a size 8! That s NEVER going to happen again BUT sucess! Dragged my sorry & saggy butt to the gym BUT could hardly walk when I finished! Those cross trainers sure are hard work!
Have also decided NOT to cancel my gym card as think it will put me off going (any excuse me!) so will un-cancel it! What am I like eh! Incapable of even small decisions! Will just make sure I go! Monday and Thursday in the week and will also see if I can start doing an am swim...will have to go to bed VERY early as am a bit cack on this TBH....def NOT a morning person but did use to manage it! This plan will have me thinner & making full use of my card so a happy DFW bunny I will be! I weighed myself this am & that did the trick! Also cut down to 16 points for the moment in the hope of getting the scales going in the right direction! May try & do an am swim on Weds....will keep you posted (& am sure you'll be glued to the screen in eager anticipation!!)..DFW wise not too bad - only had to buy insoles for new shoes that I think were TOO comfortable as slipping by the end of the day!
ooo just noticed my ll packs have a bid on at ebay so £40 made!! Sorted! Still 6 days to go so fingers crossed I'll get abot 100 - they cost about 80...

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • aww thanks Ali...how you enjoying being debt free!!
Babysat today so that £10 extra ...not millions but every penny does count doesent it! Ebay stuff is also selling (my old lighterlife packs at £40 with 5 days left & 6 watchers!) so that will help! Taxi I am the same - once I'm there I'm fine but its getting there that is my problem! I'm great at coming up with excuses for why I dont need to go!! Ok off to bed I go...feeling the winter nights closing in....always makes me a bit low at the best of times!
