Stars when seller pays too much for postage

Obviously in your world calling someone spiteful is a compliment - my mistake.
It's not an insult. Your actions are spiteful. You're only doing it to get revenge.
If you truly believed what you were doing was the correct thing to do, you wouldn't have started this thread to try and get others to back up your point of view.0 -
I always charge for more for posting items, that it actually will cost, as I add on the cost on the packaging and my fees?
I have only ever had one bidder message me who commented she thought my postage was high. I explained this reasoning, and she seemed to accept it.
I would rather someone send me a message and give their feedback as it then gives me the chance to explain my reasons. I mainly sell 99p items - so there is no room for the packaging costs to come out of this.
I understand what you are saying about the size of the box - maybe message the seller and advise in future they package items in smaller boxes - and either cut postage costs for buyer, or state charges are for P&P, not just Post.

It would REALLY help if people would read what was written rather than what they think was written....
This was my original post:
Bought items with postage costs in the £5 - £6 bracket.
When they arrived the postage they paid was in line with what they charged me.
However, they used too big a box and could have easily saved £2 - £3 by sending as a small rather than medium parcel.
Would you mark them down for postage costs?
_______
I did not say I had or was going to mark anyone down and I have also said this more than once in this thread
I was asking a question about what YOU would do.0 -

Yes I do message them and advise ... See my previous posts in this thread0 -
Do it if you want but we are all in agreement that it makes you seem small, petty and spiteful.0

If they are a low volume seller, even one low star could result in their account becoming below standard, and as a seller yourself OP, you must fully understand the relevance of low stars.
The only way I would leave a low star for P & P was if they vastly overcharged for what it actually cost, and even then I would contact them first. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
I wouldn't mark the seller down, but thats just me.0
