can you not advertise as a job lot of VHS videos for a car-booter? I think they still sell well. Otherwise, i'd send them to the charity shop as well cos they can always send them off dirt cheap.

Charlie bathed and knackered. Tried him in one of those sucker to the bath seats, and he loved it. Still playing happily for the time being, and he will be having his bottle in a minute, and then hopefully an early night. I'll have to shut his door and just get on with the spraying.

    Pee-ing it down here again.

Typical, just washed a load of Charlie's stuff and i can't TD it. So we will have to spray the clothes currently on the airers and hope they are dry. Daren't turn the heating on to dry stuff quicker or i will have a plague on my hands.

    Nearly bedtime ;)

Anyone any idea what to do wth a shed load of childrens VHS videos??? I doubt it is really worth ebay/amazon-ing them.

    Either charity shop or freecycle?

    Not happy

Just got back from supermarket to find DS1 making gingerbread men - the mess in my lovely kitchen. Had a big hissy fit, feel mean now - wine I think as it is past 6:00!

    Good evening all,

Our Kitchen is a dining kitchen so only one room to do

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    [STRIKE]
    Clean floors
    [/STRIKE] But not mopped
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances[/STRIKE]
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round[/STRIKE]
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky - not needed as I do this after each wash.
    [STRIKE]
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    [/STRIKE]

I did do it last week and ended up doing it this week as well. Never again will be have Birds Eye Beef Burgers. We usually have these in a bun with salad and home made caulslaw. Well they are very nice but the fat is horrendos, it was on the floor of the oven, on all the shelfs  Serves me right for buying ready made :rotfl:
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • [STRIKE]
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • [/STRIKE]Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • [STRIKE]Clean under small appliances and bigger ones if you can manage it[/STRIKE]
I'll add mopping the floor to tomorrows list.

:rotfl:The ladies I work with have adopted a song which the rest of the staff say is our theme tune....... It's five o'clock somewhere by Alan Jackson.

    It has the line
pour me something tall and strong, make it a hurricane before I go insane, it's only half past twelve but I don't care it's 5 o clock somewhere
which we are often heard to quote to each other towards the end of a busy and stressful shift. :D

    Evening Flypeople!

Well despite being up since 4.30 I'm still full of beans. The drain problem has been resolved, I rang the handyman when I got to work and he rang me tonight to say they're done. How fantastic is that, why can't everything just happen without me lifting a finger?!
I level 3'd the kitchen (except the oven bit) this morning and just finished mowing the lawn in a sweat and a rush befor it rains again.

Taken me ages too to read through todays posts so..
Shirleypark, well done on the last payment!
Kdean, you could use your glut of chillis as a form of currency. I'm swapping all sorts of favours for HM hobnobs atm.
Beckiem, welcome to the thread. When your back's a bit better you can have a good fly, until then take it easy or just do a waist height only swish about!
Hev, I admire your courage with the sofa recovering; mine's cat trashed too. Have fun doing it!
Pigpen, 'wow, look at her go!!!'

I wish you'd all stop being so busy though, it takes me ages to catch up and post.

Off to scrub Mr Dyson and make supper. Michelle, might be worth a squirt of flea stuff in your vacc?

Have a lovely evening, catch up later if you promise not to post 5 more pages.

    Hello all,

Just a quickie to say hi. Thanks to Tinsel and HAHWMB, it's good to know that other people have trouble with their wee ones sometimes too.

I'm definitely going to invest in 1,2,3 magic. I like to buy things when people I know have recommended them, that way, I know that they'll be worth the money.

Owen's still being a little s**t. I love him very much, but my god, there's only so much I'm willing (or able) to take. To add insult to injury, Freya had her first set of jabs today and has been whingeing since. My lovely children have turned into grotty little monsters. Oh well, c'est la vie.

My house is great though. Not perfect, but much better than it used to be. We have however, discovered an ant problem in the bathroom. I saw a few and I just had to ask where they were coming from, didn't I? So, we removed the side of the bath and found an entire colony under there. They're also crawling through into the airing cupboard. Not best pleased, but they have now been powdered and hopefully that'll be the end of them.

Gosh, I feel a bit crummy to be honest. An angry son, a grizzly daughter and a bathroomfull of insects. I'm off to find something chocolatey...

We had ants the other year near our front door, nothing like a colony, but they were a pest.
I read somewhere that they hate the smell of citrus and the tip was to leave orange peel on their route. It certainly helped, although I had to remember to pick up the decaying peel!
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Maralum; Apparently ants also hate vinigar - so my mum told me.

I've been able to do a lot more today thank goodness so i've stopped winging and started getting on top of things. Going for a long soak and a very early night xx

Kitchen looks good, pleased with myself today. Lovely curry cooking away, the smell is making me ravenous! I've read the advice about monster children with interest. My DD 5yo is being particularly difficult at times, and my DS 3months is lovely but I want to find out about testosterone surges at 4 years etc! :T to those of us flying high today, sorry to hear about the infestation Michelle. Hev, well done on resisting diet coke - how is it going today? I love projects like recovering the sofa, but I don't have time at the moment. My dream is to have a sewing room set up so that I can leave projects and go back to them anytime I wish! Shirleypark well done on your last payment, you are doing so well!

    Hope to keep flying tomorrow.
