Just a quick catch up - probably won't be on much this week or next - two week school break for the kids so they'll probably target the computer more than me.
Have spent last few days trying to catch up with washing - DS2 is home from Uni and the lovely lad brought all his dirty washing with him . . . and it's been raining!
Massive congregations of boys at my place - going through food like nobodys business . . . will have to try and find some more grocery money.
Promise to get some lists written and will definately be doing at least some flying!
Have a good week everyone! If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Phew what a lot of posts, I will never get up to date! But a quick scan through (er - 20 mins that is) I've a few replies to make:
re ants - if you are like me and have borax in the house - mix a tiny bit with some honey - put it down on a dish in their path and they'll take it off to the queen and kill the lot.
remember the milk - when i first saw that site a year or so ago I couldn't get on with it - thought I would share the site i ended up using - it's fun too as you can chat on it and also have it email you reminders - 43Things - course, you can only have a max of 43 Things (goals) on there and they don't have to be ones that exist already - you can make anything into Thing. If you like you can also click on a Thing and it takes you to a page with all the other user's with that Thing and you can read how others get on with their goals. I'm addicted to it - I go through phases of using it lots or just popping by on occasion.
lil_me what a brave and also generous thing to do, I hope you all cope OK with saying bye to Holly and that her and her new Mum get along great

Thanks everyone for the messages appreciate the support.
Rach well done on the weight loss
beckiem welcome, hope you enjoy joining us
Shirley I do hope your wrist is better soon
Denise, good morning, I hope you enjoy having the boys at home, I dread mine ever leaving home as I'm bad enough when they are at school for missing them
Well as you can tell, still up, but did get another question complete on my assignment. We're going to hand it in in person on Wednesday again to gain more time aswell as the effect of the postal strikes!! Looking forward to the next assignment more as it's computer based, less writing, my wrist and hand start to ache after all the writing, just shows how we get used to not doing something doesn't it.
Right I best go to bed as I'll be up at 6am most likely, pleased I grabbed that time earlier for a nap! Oh appointment tomorrow to discuss DS1s medication in the morning aswell, eventually getting put on what I requested in the first place, we're trialing it over the hols rather than when he's at school. See you all in the morning, I'll be the one in the corner asleepOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning all. What a beautiful morning it is too......teaming down with rain, black as "the hobs of hell" as my mum would say, and thundery and as a result I'm really itchy
I am also addicted to FacebookTrouble is I can't access it when DD is around as some of the groups I've joined with my mates are erm...shall we say are adult in nature
:o:rotfl: Great laugh though as we're currently having a food fight and I think I'm winning
DD has already got my blood boiling this morning so when I get back from the school run I'm going to get into a hot bubblebath and make the most of the peace and quietAlso will warm me up after getting soaked taking her to school!
The livingroom isn't too bad this week, desk could do with a tidy up as usual, and the floor should really be mopped otherwise it's presentable except for the layer of dust on the fire as I've had it on a couple of times to dry washing
Shoot! Just remembered I need to make OH a card & wrap his pressie (although he ordered it  ) as it's his birthday tomorrow, also need to post his dads cards as it's his birthday on Friday  Also need to sort my mums pressie out as it's her birthday Tuesday (but I can't say anymore as she reads this) and I suppose I had better sort something out for my brother who's birthday it is the following Saturday :rotfl::rotfl:
Which reminds me ... I can start playing my Jive Bunny Christmas CD now as long as it's only when I'm in:santa2: :xmastree::xmassign: :xmastree::santa2:Yes I am nuts, but I start craft projects with DD during the summer holidays for Christmas gifts and this year I really need to get in the mood :dance::dance:
Right I need to go and find my bookmarked Christmas sites :santa2::santa2:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
