Kaz.. yes we have 4 nitty gritty combs.. but 2 of the children are constantly riddled nothing shifts them!! I spend hours and hours combng them and they are just as bad in a few days.. am seriously considering short hair!!!

I've thankfully never had to deal with nits, DS has lovely short garde 2 haircuts, but I found this and the person posting it swears by it and it doesn't contain chemicals.
Mix equal amount of cooking oil and white vinegar with 20 drops of tea tree essential oil. Massage into the head, wrap head in clingfilm and leave for 3 hours.
It does sound very messy, but apparently is very effective.

I'm on my 2nd cuppa and have nearly done the kitchen and dining room.
Need to do lounge today as well as will have zero time for it tomorrow.

    Also I have
presents to wrap and send to USA
card to write and send to USA
    on line banking to check
    meal plan for the month
taken bananas out of the freezer to make flapjacks shortly
    another load into WM

Hugs to those with poorly children, fleas (can definitely relate to sore ankles) and other nasties or just plain having a rubbish day!

    Hiya everyone
Shirleypark - fantastic about your last payment, well done!
Lil_me - hope littlie is feeling better soon.
Hev - you've inspired me to stop drinking coke too. I've not had any since Friday and that's the longest i've ever been without!

Feeling a little less wound up today. I've cleaned part of the hall carpet with the mini vax we have. I think we need to hire a proper carpet cleaner and clean throughout as the water ended up black. Scary.

It's pouring with rain here. DD got off on her school trip ok. She went off with her suitcase and looked so grown up. It'll be strange without her as DH is also away this week.

Today i'm going to clean the kitchen floor and i'm going to put as much 'stuff' away as possible. I'm also going to declutter a room a week and donate a load of stuff to charity. I've come to the conclusion that we have to much rubbish (no, i'm not including DH in that, then again!).

I will get this house under control again.

    Have a good day xx

    Hi everyone

Well done to all those giving up the coke, especially Hev :) those tea bags will taste even better knowing that you have earned them.

Shirley excellent news on the last payment :T:j

Pigpen I can empathise with you about the nits, DD had them almost constantly for almost 2 yrs :( finally managed to get free of them last month but keep checking. We almost went down the short hair route. Can't imagine trying to keep 8 nit free.

Hugs to everyone that needs them, KICK to those that want/need them *includes self*

checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    [/STRIKE]

Do hot wash with vinegar & soda crystals. NEXT JOB!

    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together. NEW HOOVER SO NO NEED YET!
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.ALL UP TO DATE
    • Clean under small appliances and bigger ones if you can manage it
    Other jobs to do:-

    Prep Veg for tea
    Make a jelly

Need to make lunch for little next too. DD1 has been a complete nightmare and had a full on tantrum the likes of which she has only had when she was going throught the terrible 2's. She is 4 1/2 and after about an hour of me trying time outs, loss of priviledge (friend coming over for lunch), shouting, laughing at her, trying to talk to her (even smacked her bum at one point when she went completely over the top - hangs head in shame:o ) In the end I started to video her on my phone and although that made her scream louder for a couple of minutes she then completly calmed down and got dressed and turned back into my lovely DD1 instead of the wild banchee. Lets hope she comes back from nursery in a better mood. So PIGPEN yet another who will be ordering the 1,2,3 magic book - you should be on commission, oh and quick question is it a thick, heavy book?? may come in handy for bashing her round the head if the contents of the book fail - only kidding, honest :rotfl: .

Right coffee and sandwich me thinks

    Debt-free and Proud!
List half done but had massive delivery from Tesco and it took forever to put away, but sorted all cupboards while doing it so not so bad.

Taking DS2 to playgroup in rain now and will finish off when I get back.

My head is really, really itchy now and I know it is just psychological :rotfl: .

HAHWMB - Hope it goes well with the 'doctors in their white coats', you don't sound as though you need your bumps feeling to me (is that called phrenology?) so hope you don't pretend everything ok and let them go without helping you. Hugs

Mel - Oh No. Got to go out in thunder and lightening now  .

I haven't done anything except put a wash load in and then on the maiden and eaten many many hobnobs. Must go and put away the dishes, wash breakfast ones and start thinking about tea.
