:j I have just checked my chilli plants and they have sprouted:D . Thought they were a gonner as one of the cats knocked the tray on the floor last week, but looks like I have about 20 sprouts. I don't know what I will do with all those plants though. Can't wait for the produce now.:D

    Morning all

Pouring with rain again, so one load of washing draped round upstairs.

Done the kitchen to level 3, including wiping small appliances and moving them and wiping underneath.

Damp wiped living room and vacuumed through there, hallway and kitchen.

Glad I got the grass cut Friday because there's no sign of it drying out this week!

    Hi all

Well I'm determined I must get something done this week even if it's just Level 1 each day. I did hardly anything last week and the house is like a bombsite.

Only thing is I'm at school all day Tuesday and Thursday, at college Friday morning and working Wednesday and Thursday evening. I've also got to get some college work done as my folder has to be in on 20/7 so I've got less than 3 weeks to finish everything.

Got home from work at 4am so earlier than usual but I'm still shattered so I need plenty of motivation to get some jobs done today.

    Hope everyone's okay.

    Catch you all later.

    Still no Diet Coke!

Yesterday DH found a load of flies congregating in an alcove and sprayed some fly spray. Well, some - nearly a can full, I heard it! And the alcove was in the cellar kitchen. And nothing had really been put away. And DS on the carpet on the floor above and started coughing and his eyes started running. And there were still some @&*$£! flies left flying around. Well, at least something is flying round here

Poor DH was just trying to get it sorted.

Actually, because I signed up to this thread there was a little more stuff in cupboards than there might have been. I am sure that it is not going to be bad if I do nothing. Fly spray isn't toxic waste (it didn't even seem that toxic to the darn flies) On the other hand, it is a great excuse to really, really clean the kitchen. I can't get into my dining room - furniture in the way.

Lil_me - I hope that your son is feeling better soon. I have been making a note of all the books recommended on here.

It's raining here, and sooooo depressing. My joints hurt and I am feeling tired. But I am not drinking diet coke! Not long to the nice teabags!

Oh Pigpen we had the same, didn't see HV from DS2 being a year until he was 4 1/2 and the special needs one came out. He'd been forgotten about because his HV left and 2 others took on the workload between them, noone took him or about 30 others on! The 'oh so he couldn't walk until he was over 2, that isn't in his records' my response 'it won't be as we haven't seen a HV since he was 1. I know some of thm do a great job but to some it is more about the targets and paperwork than the children..

Hev well done you're still doing great, point of no return now, you can't go back!!!!
One day I might be more organised...........

Well done Hev on the no coke! I have decided I will join you, can't promise anything though, but the kids being off school now gives me a good incentive not to bring any into the house!

Hugs to everone who needs one this morning because of flies, nits, kids, sickness, husbands and partners, health visitors, fleas, diet coke withdrawels, floods, rain and anything else you can think of! :grouphug:

Kids deperate to go play tennis with mum, but told them I need to catch up on here first and quickly clean the kitchen, hang out washing, get washed and dressed so at least the house isn't a tip when I get back, I hate that when you walk back into the house and it is an absolute tip!!

I will try to do the whole list, depending how long the sun shines and we stay out, or how long it takes the kids to fall out and we could be back within the hour :rotfl:

    Have a great day everyone...

    hello all,

sounds like you're all putting me to shame. i fell off the wagon the middle of last week. the flat is ok, but not good, except for the study which is a bombsite!!!

so i am DETERMINED to do the lists every day this week!

    for today:
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clean floors
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
    Level Three
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • Clean under small appliances and bigger ones if you can manage it
    extras:
    rubbish out
    recycling out
    bikini line before swim!
    clean washing away
    engagement cards down
    write last few thanks letters
    deal with post
    empty DW
