Oh thank you thank you thank you everyone!
Elena has Spanish-cleaned my kitchen (I couldn't look - but there is a previously full bottle of bleach in the bin!) - anyway it is sparkling - but the very best thing is that I actually let someone help me. Just let them tell me I'm crazy now! I reckon that must be me cured, then...
Also i excelled myself even further than yesterday (when I went knocking on perfect strangers' doors until I found one who would have one of my students) in that I phoned our local newspaper and persuaded the senior reporter to give us a full page spread with photos when the students are here! I'll post a link when it is published: I can't tell you how excited I am!!
Of course now I have MORE work to do because he basically wants me to write the article for him - but hey - this thing is going to work!!:DIs it home time yet?0 -

Right starting with a 15 minute wizz down stairs to get it back in check

DS2 room (the roller coaster room) all done, bed remade. I have put all the bits laying around in a large shoe box for him to deal with before youth club.
Going to cut the grass now- wind has blown it dry! Washing is battling to stay on the line - some in and dry all ready. Fluffy cat is running around like a loon in the wind - he is called pickle for a good reason.
Putting kettle on and getting mower out before I get comfy.
Pollybear hugs to you, I too have weeks like that, this too will pass for everything always does
Pigpen you have done great with your debt well done! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm really grumpy now  I'm trying to sort out a new mortgage deal as my one runs out in Sept... When I spoke to NR, they told me I was given £1000 help with costs when I took the mortgage (which I hadn't even realised, and am going to query...)
And if I leave NR - or even try to get a new deal with them (!) - they are going to take that £1000 back! I'm can't believe I'd have agreed to that back then, but maybe my IFA explained it differently... :-S
Anyway - that was just a rant, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to cough up...:mad::mad::money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -
Pigpen - you go girl! :T:T:T:T:TCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Pigpen well done
it's coming dwn VERY fast isn't it.
Chivas hope you get it sorted
Pollybear ((hugs))
Just back from DS1s visit to his new school, great news, he loves itHe's really impressed that they go swimming twice a week and trips most weeks. Has spent all week saying he doesn't want to go so I was worried but all fine now. Asked if he could leave his other school and start there today which is a bit of a difference. Need to put money away for uniform which should arrive next week, totals up around £150 I think.
Managed to get some gel for my toothache which seems to be working ok, have had it a week and dentists can't fit me in until 24th! Downside is it numbs it a lot and I will probably start dribbling
Vacuuming done but not much else, have had to strip the boys beds as DS2 wet the bed again, going to have to use the drier to get his duvet etc dry. It's a tip in there and I think will be a weekend mission to get it sorted a bit! Doesn't look like I will get the garden done as still raining on and off and more forecast.
Has there been an offer on with the Perfect Housewife book somewhere I have missed ? Everyone seems to have one!!!One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
