Hi, productive day thanks to Antheas "perfect housewife" book arriving in the post first thing! Started reading but had to keep jumping up between chapters and do stuff!
Two wash loads dried between downpours, ironed and put away, DD's bed stripped and remade-never thought of hoovering the mattress I'll look at your link lil_me.
Upstairs and bathroom hoovered, even got DD age 3 dusting her bedroom!
Oh I forgot hoovered downstairs too and spent half an hour on hands and knees trying out everything in the cupbords including the car wax to find something to make kitchen lino tile floor shiney but not slippery-any ideas anyone, my mam said she used to use something called Sheen? years ago but not sure if it still exists, anyone heard of it?
Lil_me I recently got a 10 year old dog from an elderly couple who were moving and couldnt take him with them, they were devastated as they got him as a pup, he walked in here and made himself comfortable on the settee! He is now boss of me, hubby, 2 kids and 2 cats, and has a new lease of life! and we love him to bits! Hope this helps

Morning all :hello: Stormy day here today and I've already had to go out in our garden to rescue plantpots which were flying around  It's more like a winters day than July, infact I was shivering cold last night
Loads of ebay things still to edit - I got all the titles/pictures/postage costs listed yesterday, todays job is to edit the description (cut and paste is a wonderful thing, when teamed with Notebook). I'm already selling a Spiderman video

Morning.
I also got the anthea book yesterday, and can't wait to get stuck into it. But also frantically reading harry potter as well at the moment so i will just have to dip in to both.
Well i'm off this morning. I've got the bin put out, and emptied the bathroom bin. Baby bag is packed to go out. We have all been fed. DH suggests that we all go on a diet cos he has even put on weight, so i will need to think about what we should all eat.
Charlie is walking around on his hands and feet until he forgets what his limbs are doing and collapses on the floor. :rotfl:
List for today is quite huge, but i will see what i can do:

PLEASE send empathy...
Last night DH was invited out with a buddy we'd asked to be a back-up bed provider for the students. Bearing in mind that he had been out at work since 7am, didn't get back until 7.45pm, then showered and straight out to install freeview box for Spanish pal (tiny holiday cottage, two pre-school kids, no toys and no CBeebies - can you imagine?!), then off to pub to go through the finer points... only to be told he wasn't up for it at all and had never really seriously considered it! (not in those words - but the meaning was clear). In the meantime I have 3 host families on the phone until past 10pm with the jitters (but I have to be x, y or z on Thursday - how can I leave a 16-year-old alone for 2 whole minutes?????), a washing machine on the blink again (and doing overtime since holiday cottage has no washing machine)... and to top it all darling DS2 has been throwing the mother of all tantrums since 5.45 this morning. He is in his bedroom behind the stairgate right now and seems to have calmed down - but we still have the ordeal of putting some trousers on to go....
I really don't want to play this game any more..........Is it home time yet?0 -
Morning all,
I'm at the dentist at 10.30 so a lazy start to the day before I head to work afterwards. Then I'm at my friend's for a henparty reunion (a new one on me!) so won't be home 'til late or not at all if I change my mind and have a beer.
I've done the dailies and the ironing this morning, spare room will have to keep 'til tomorrow. No plans for the weekend in any case.
I'm keeping an eye on fat cat's poorly paw. The vet couldn't see anything amiss but since then it's swollen to twice the size..
Have a useful day, enjoy your ME time later too.

It is so long since I've heard ducks! That has cheered me up...
Spanish pal is coming to help my fly this morning - and there is to be no mention made of students or hosts... but then tomorrow we have big meeting about the bl**dy fete - and student 'but what can I do with them' issues - so unfortunately the answer is no I can't delegate very much at all but the good news is that this WILL soon be over.
I keep reminding myself of the adage: this too will pass.....
Anyway, Solwaykid - thanks honey!!Is it home time yet?0
