Beds for all my Spanish students - who on earth could have thought it would be so soddingly difficult?
Oh how I wish I could drink... I would be so utterly wonderfully and incoherently rip-roaringly sozzled...
I wonder if Orange Pekoe would do?

    Afternoon!
All good things start with a cuppa - slurp - just catching up on the mornings doings. Hope everyone's fine n dandy.

Happyathome and chivas; oh yes with chocolate on...mmm!

It's going to be an in out sort of afternoon.
    Inside
Finish the bedroom (rug came up fine, phew)
    Do the bathroom
    General S&S elsewhere

    Outside
Clean the inside of the car after I've been to the tip with garden stuff
    Generate more garden waste

Play Hokey Cokey with the laundry as appropriate

I'm not terribly motivated today and having a woe is me time, it'll pass with a bit of hard graft and a treat.I bought 2 new pairs of trousers ( I live in jeans normally) in Asda half price sale on my way home. Time for the graft now.

TTFN, some one give me a yell when the kettle's next on.

Well had a productive afternoon so far. I make an apple and plum crumble (so plums saved from compost bin), Black Saturns malt loaf (double size) and a batch of the hobnobs (put raisins in half and DD2 approves, DD1 not keen on them, she is not a huge fan of biscuits - strange child! lol). Cooked sausages off so DH lunch tomorrow sorted.

Now I need to hoover lounge floor as full of crumbs, sweep kitchen floor and re S & S kitchen. Also need to make gravy for tea after swimming, cooked chicken off last night while cooking tea, will call at chippy for couple of portions of chips on way home. Usually do HM oven chips but will not get back till 6 so cheating tonight.

Must pick washing in too as its not looking so clever out there at the moment. Have also listed trike on freecyle and replied to a wanted add for the conservatory furniture so will wait to see if they still need it before listing.

DD2 running round naked at moment as helped with washing up so will need to get her dressed ready to leave for DD1 swimming lesson later.

Am running out of steam today.

Happyathome - perhaps you should go for one of those luscious chocolate drinks you can get instead of booze. I daren't get them in because they would last precisely one afternoon :o

Just nipping in to say hi. Still stuck on ironing but have cleared a load already. You can't see the floor, but you can see distinct piles.

When I got on to the Salvation Army to collect two cupboards, they said they would take stuff that could be donated to a charity shop. They are picking up the cupboards Thursday - the countdown starts now! They think they are picking up two cupboards and maybe a carrier or two. I see it as a challenge :D

Phoned Health Visitor (sorry for swearing Pigpen) as I not sure if DS should be on three meals a day so soon after starting solids (he's been a bit iffy about breakfast the last few days). She is sending me a list of Mums & Tots groups. I think she's hinting that I need to get out more. I should have just checked with people here. He seems alright, anyway. Completely refused nice fisherman's pie (and after smelling it I can't blame him) but demolished half a tin of banana delight. He's having minted lamb for tea - fingers crossed.

Hope all goes well with Holly, Lil_me. It is tough to make the right choices sometimes. Wishing you well.

    Hev

Still Diet Coke free! Just waiting for teabags to arrive tomorrow!
    Always another chapter

Solway kettles on, do you take sugar. Are you joining us slackers Poohbear.

Need to check my list but not done heaps. Been to town, started to get some of DS2 uniform for next year - he goes on to secondary so is having some of DS1 handme downs and some new bits. Hope the Year 6 visits went ok, ours is next week.

Friend just dropped round with 3 large punnets of raspberries from her friends lottie - will freeze some and use some. Also got some great appricots and necterines at the french market which was visiting our town earlier - heaps cheaper than our shops and ripe - not chilled to oblivion.

Ooh, I missed tea break, thanks anyhow!

Bathroom done, I've even washed the shower curtain this time. Bedroom done, vacc'd through out again, kitchen tidied..
The rain is still holding off so I'm going to buzz to the tip just now and hopefully get the car sorted. It's really stinky inside, I eat my 3 fruit a day on the way to and from work and remains go in the passenger footwell. Not nice. Still looking for a car bin..

Lovely idea, and although choccie stuff has its place in my affections, it can never replace alcohol... ditto for almost all soft drinks: when the booze need is upon me it cannot be sated with sugar. One day the soft drinks people will catch onto this and produce something that us poor alcoholic/bipolar/liver damaged through no fault of our own* (*delete or add to as appropriate) people can actually sit down and enjoy. Belvoirs Ginger Cordial is about as close as I've ever got - but it isn't quite IT.....
ALSO - what makes you think that I wouldn't demolish a whole box of whatever it is in one sitting?!
If I wasn't as high as a kite today I might feel the tiniest bit sorry for myself!! Instead I'm going to make a cup of Twinings Chai - that has something about it.....
