So, let me get this right. These are today's tasks? I'm new so bear(bare?!) with me. :o My aim is to get at least level 1 done, anymore being a bonus? I'll be ironing at 11. Can't miss Dallas. I might overrun into Cagney and Lacey though. Not sure about getting the washing out - looks a bit iffy. Which is a pity as I washed a duvet yesterday.
2 dk's off school today, and tomorrow is the last day before holidays. As if 6 weeks isn't long enough!

pigpen, have you done all that already!!? What time do you get out of bed? I've only managed a pee and to turn the computer on (and there where my problem probably lies lol).

    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter)

    Level Two
    Clean bath, toilet and sink
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    Level Three
    Clear clutter from floor
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
    Clean windows
    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt
    • Make any important calls you have been putting off
    • Clean tops of wardrobes
    • Wash your bathroom mats
    • Sort a wardrobe or part of, a drawer or set of drawers making sure it has what needs to be in it and any 'extras' are put where they should be.

No flying for me today - taking kiddies off to a theme park with playgroup, just as soon as BM finishes. Will need to do manic tidy up later though as surveyor coming tomorrow. Somehow things have slipped recently :o

Lil_me, hope you manage to let Holly go without too many tears. At least you'll be able to see lots of her when she's in her new home.

    Have a good day all!

PS: Sometimes my ironing pile gets like that too, but at the mo it's down to one basket load. I've decided to suspend ironing services for time being except for shirts etc that really do have to be done. Once we've moved I may resume - but then again... :p

Right, well, I managed to move myself and get a bit of stuff done before BB started ;) Then did bits n' bobs during the ads - so glad I did :)

SolwayKid - I felt for you yesterday when you posted the mouse on the rug story... but last night - my two cats managed their very first hunt (cause for celebration - I think not ) Dave wandered through with a poor bird in his mouth - I chased him out, only to find Noodle disecting the aforesaid bird on pretty much the only rug in my house!!! After 15 months of nothing but fluffiness, I have hunting and fleas in the same week! Grrr...

I'm also generally a bit grumpy now, as I have just found out about a 'hidden' £1000 redemption penalty on my mortgage... so now having to recalculate all my numbers to try to see how to get the best deal...

Today I probably won't manage much as not staying at my house - but OH is going to do the mountain of dishes and clean the kitchen worktops this afternoon... And also going to take a look at the damp issues for me :T

Tuesday Living Room, Hall (no stairs - phew!)
    Level 1
[strike] Vacuum floors[/strike] and sofas (well I swept anyway!)
    Level 2
    [strike]Dusting[/strike]
[strike]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/strike]

[strike]Clean window[/strike] (ish - on the inside only!)
[strike]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/strike]
    Level 3
    [strike]Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc [/strike]
    [strike]Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/strike]
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)

Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    -
[strike]Clear one hotspot[/strike] (under my coffee tables!)
    - [strike]Gather any borrowed items or library books and return/rebook/check dates [/strike]

    - Wipe the leaves of your plants

    - [strike]Sort through any magazines or paperwork lying around[/strike]
(I 'sorted' it into a carrier bag, to be organised another day

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
[strike] - Check fire alarms are working[/strike]
[strike] - Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing[/strike] I swept!
    Level 2
    - Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh - doing tonight, to wash at OH's
    - Clean window & wipe windowsill
    Level 3
    - Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
    - Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
    - Wipe doors and handles
    Declutter Mission Task
[strike] - 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter[/strike]
[strike]Extra task - I decluttered the floor and all floor hotspots too - I can see all the corners of my bedroom!![/strike]

My missions - though not just for today! ;)
    - Sort clothes and shoes into keep/ebay/charity shop piles - be ruthless!
    - Reorganise drawers and wardrobes
    - Take tiles back to Topps for refund
    - Investigate damp problem in the corner of the bedroom - rearrange furniture temporarily??
    - Organise paperwork
    - Put CD's into DJ bags and throw out CD cases to free up storage space (any ideas what I could do with 500 empty CD cases???)
    - Register with Amazon and sell old text books
    - Take a load of stuff up to OH's to make some space!

Wow the thread is growing so quickly this week, just managed to catch up. I avoided the pc yesterday as I didn't need to work and thought better of logging on to find out how you all were getting on as I would have got distracted.

Very proud of my self yesterday, managed to de-clutter master bedroom, bathroom, landing and DS's room. Also clean bathroom and master bedroom and do a couple of loads of washing. Kitchen got another thorough going over too! DH did the utility room as asked and now it is all ready for me to clean the floors before our new freezer arrives at the weekend:T. I do have to work today and have been logged on since 8am this morning and can't log off until 3pm. My plan for today is do 1/2 hours work then clean for 15 mins. Should then be able to average £6 an hour, and get a clean and tidy house:D . Of course this is just the plan so far so we shall see. So far there has not been any work but then what solicitors are up at that time dictating?

Ooh work just popped up so must get on with it before someone else picks it up. Will post my progress (if any) later.

I think (cos i'm new to this thread too) they are

    WM - washing machine
    TD - tumble drier
    DW - dishwasher
BM - breadmaker (kept thinking it was bowel movement, but common sense told me no :rotfl: )
    S&S - swish and sweep/swipe?

Lol it took me 3 days to work out pigpen's acronyms :) My first thought was bowel movement too, and TD was to do until I realised it was Tumble Dryer hehe.

Today and tomorrow are my son's Induction to the secondary school - it was quite scary to send him off over the busy roads with my 14 year old daughter as I usually walk him to his primary school and let him go up the final road alone while I watch ready to wave him off. Oh well, good thing is a chance to sit about in my dressing gown before getting dressed and doing some jobs.

I've been sat here at the pc till now, looking for a good cheap London hotel near Paddington. I have found some but they are never cheap enough or their reviews make them sound horrid. The one I stayed at last time is charging more this time around.

The frontline drops haven't arrived yet, hope they get here soon. I want to stop the flea problem! Thankfully the cats mostly sleep in the kitchen and it is tiled in there so easy to spot eggs. Otherwise they sleep on our laps in the evening, but we don't notice any eggs on our laps and we mosly wear dark clothing anyway so I think so far so good. Once we treat the cats I will treat the carpets/furnishings too. Not used any proprietary treatments for ages as I am very anti-them. Oh well, needs must.

I'll make a start on the desk while I eat brekky - honest!
