Hello everyone
Its been ages since I last posted here so thought I would pop along and say hello.
How are you all? I can see from the names that there are a lot of new people that have arrived so hello all. :hello:
Its very sad about skint1. I hadnt seen any of his posts as not been around in ages but seems he was a popular guy. RIP
I have been ok since on the tablets thank goodness they have helped a lot. I did have a bit of a blip just after Xmas but seem to be back on the right track again.
Take care xx0 -

Hello everyone
Hope you are all doing well today.
Second day of being on AD's and I feel totally spaced out, had a really down day spent most of the day in bed as a result. I'm not doing too badly though at the moment, I am up and dressed and that is the main thing.0 -
BizzyBek I hope the painkillers start working real soon and that your Mum can get back on her feet.
It's good to hear you're feeling positive too
meyore So sorry to hear that your OH was unable to make it back home yesterday. I can understand that you were upset and I'm sure he was as well. It was just unfortunate that we had such rubbish weather.
I hope you booked the hotel for tonight
juno I've read your post about work and here is what I would do if I was in your situation.- Take the extra hours and more responsibilty (I hope they are paying you more). Yes this means you won't be able to have a second job but as you said it probably wouldn't have been easy to fit around your current job anway. Anyway, if you've got more hours surely you won't be needing another job?
- Go to the interview for your dream job.
- If you do get offered the dream job TAKE IT Don't worry about your old job. You owe them nothing other than your notice period (if you have one) You took the extra hours because at the time it's what you wanted but things change, that's life. You have to do what is best for you.
rose I am OK. I went to the Doctor's last week and he sorted out some of my cuts. Had a bit of a chat. He said I looked really downHe wants me to go back this week, so I've made an appointment for Wednesday. I'm pretty sure all he's going to do is refer me back to my psychiatrist. Waste of time IMO.
Your life seems pretty hectic atm. What's been going on at your place of work? Why were you in tears?
OMG hun, the psychiatrist you saw sounds horrible  how can she be allowed to say such things! You choose to wear whatever clothes you want. You don't have to impress anyone and if you don't want to wear make-up that again is your choice. She had no right basically telling you to wear different clothes and put make-up on. If I were you hun, I'd go back in 2 weeks time looking exactly the same.
So sorry to hear about your friend (((HUGS))) xxx
CCStar :hello: it's nice to see you post.
Horace Your shopping trip sounds like it was fun. You bought lots of lovely things tooHope you enjoyed it.
consnmattsmom I don't think I've chatted to you before so a big :hello: from me.
Katie Glad to hear you had a good day out with your friend. I've never had an ice cream bombe before but it sounds yummy.
Are you going to watch casualty later?
Bunnie1982 What anti-depressants did your Doctor put you on? Hopefully you will start to feel the benefit of them soon. Side-effects don't usually last that long.
I am so shocked at the death of skint1. I really cannot believe he's gone. Such sad news-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
If you believe, you will survive - Katie Piper
Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
Didnt see my mates as planned as they are all sick with the flu:rolleyes: but I did have one visitor this afternoon. Yesterday when I was going to work I bumped into a girl who lives in the same area as me - she lives in one of the other blocks of flats. She was friendly and explained that she had just moved to the area and didn't know anyone plus she was living in shared accommodation after her mother threw her out. We travelled into Birmingham together on the bus and had a good chinwag, well I did something that was totally out of the norm for me and gave her my address and invited her round for coffee.
She came round today, I think she is a nice person who has a lot of difficulties in life because she is disabled. She has learning difficulties after her brain was starved of oxygen during a childhood operation - she has memory problems and explained that it takes her a long time to learn things before they stick. She also told me that her heart was the wrong way round and she had a pacemaker. What upset me the most was the fact that she was struggling because her mother threw her out at New Year and then had a bout of guilty consciousness and called the police - so this poor girl went to the police and they re-homed her (what sort of woman can do that to her own child?). My 'new' friend thinks that my mother chucked her out because she was becoming more independent and asking for her own money - she gets various benefits as well as working.
We had quite a laugh this evening and I said that I would help her improve her reading because she is conscious that she doesn't read that well. I think she is amazing because I don't know how I would cope if someone chucked me out on the street and left me to my own devices. My friend is doing wonders although she has concerns about one of her flat mates (who has severe behavioural problems from the sound of it) and the carer that lives with them. The carer watches out for her 24/7 but my friend thinks that this restrictive because she is allowed out to go to work and visit family but anyone else is a no no - my new friend is 30 years' old and is starting to enjoy life on her own and is already making plans to rent her own place.
I think this year is very strange because I am now doing things that I wouldn't normally do - speaking to strangers, asking them to my place, offering to help improve their reading, offering to show them where the shops are etc. etc. Maybe its because I am happier in myself and have stopped being selfish - I dont know.
Hope all is well with everyone and sorry for rambling on.0 -
Had a good evening - our son took us out to dinner for my OH birthday today.
I was shocked to hear about Skint1 even tho' I didn't know him.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
Horace, glad you've had a positive day. Seems that by helping other people it gives us something else to focus on apart from our own feelings...thats the way it is for me anyway. You're right though, if you weren't better in yourself, you wouldn't have it in you to be of help to anyone else. Bet your new friend is so pleased you've met :T sounds like she has had an awful time of it.
CC, glad you've had a good time tonight.
Bunnie, hope the side effects of the Ad's wear off soon.
RBK, sorry you're feeling so bad at the mo.
What very tragic and sad news about Skint1...I didn't know him, but it reinforces how fragile our lives are.
Nite nite everyone, am so tired....hardly slept last nite cos couldn't switch off. Wish I had a switch on the side of my head that I could turn off when I was ready to sleep and programme it to switch back on at a reasonable time in the morning xx0 -
