Dawny - first of all a big *hug* from me.

I am very pleased to say the onset of a depression bout his year has been avoided and now just ye olde panic attacks/anxiety to contend with here.

I will echo feelinggood - one day at a time and take time for the basics. Right now I would love you to go, set a kitchen timer or alarm clock and for 20mins do something a bit pampering - paint your nails, wash your face and put some moisturiser etc. And promise yourself for 15-20mins that is all you will think about. Just live in that moment and do something nice for yourself.

It feels like a plod but try to push yourself to do housework etc, but whatever it is your do, just try and think about that at that time. Everytime your minds wanders even say out loud 'sorry I can't think about that now for the next 10 minutes I am going to sort these dishes out'.

Also copy cats! I think cats may have the answer to everything! The best thing they do is 'mad half hour'. Literally just dance and fling your arms about like a lunatic for ten minutes or longer. Physically it helps gets rid of a lot of the stress hormones etc, gets the circulation going and gets the oxygen flowing in. Don't know if youever watched Friends but there's a great episode where Phoebe goes running 'like a child' and just lets her arms bandy about.

And keep opening up on here and helping others and alloowing them to help you :grouphug:

  • meyore How did you get on at the opticians? Did you manage to get a Doctor's appointment today?

A job at River Island would be pretty good :) Do you know how much staff discount you would get?

Once your stomach gets used to a reduced amount of food you will hopefully stop feeling so hungry. How much weight are you wanting to lose?

It's nice that you're OH is coming home at the weekend :) have you got anything planned?

rose07 What happened to your counsellor? At least you've got your friends :) Are you still taking medication or has your psychiatrist stopped it?

Make sure you make that appointment with your GP.

    I hope you've had a lovely day.
stephb1986 Sounds like you're day has been extremely busy! Did you manage to get everything done? Where abouts are you going tomorrow? I hope you have a lovely time :)
jen.eng I can understand that having experienced horrible side-effects you're not keen on taking medication. You're right. At the end of the day it's you that's taking the medication and you're the one having to deal with the side-effects. If you feel like you're coping OK without then that's a good thing.
How did work go? Was it better than you thought?
dawnylou Oh hun, please don't think so badly of yourself. Things would definately not be better without you. This is depression talking and not the real you. Big (((HUGS))) xxx
Katie Glad to hear you've had a good day :) Hope you're feeling OK.

The optician called in sick so they had to phone up and cancel for today-I'm going next Thursday now. I wimped out of the doctors though-I didn't feel so bad today and I thought I'd probably just end up talking it down. Bad excuse though, I know.:o

I'm not sure of the staff discount-I have a friend tho works there though and she told me once they aren't the only perks you get. You get first choice on the sale stuff and any returns you can take really cheaply!:D

Just to be with OH will be enough so nothing much planned.

    How are you feeling today?

    Xx

  • Glad to hear you're feeling a little better :) Make sure you make an appointment soon though.

The perks at River Island sound really good :D

I hope you enjoy the weekend with your OH.

I'm OK. Still not wanting to be here and self-harming still.
